Christmas 2014

Merry Christmas!

We still say Merry Christmas--not Happy Holidays, etc.

Just checking to see which of you'ns are still using the dalton59 yahoo group..

It has been such a long time that I have looked at the dalton59 postings that I forgot

my password and went through??a grueling process with Yahoo to prove that I am

part of the group.? Everything has changed on Yahoo.? I must be a retard because

it takes me forever to figure out how to use the Yahoo group stuff.

I have been in a retro mood recently.? I am listening to Christmas music?vinyl lp's on my turntable.

Anyone remember what a turntable is?? Ah... I know that I am listening to records

because of all the hisses, pop, crackles, and scratches in stereo.? Whoopee.

Next I will listen to Christmas music on my vast library of cassette tapes.? I record every Christmas

from radio (or Sirius satellite radio) and it is interesting to listen to Christmas music (circa 1987)

and hear the commercials from those days.? Most of the advertisers are long gone. Mostly

car dealers and other crap.

Have a relatively OK Christmas.

Merry Christmas back. ?We still say Merry Christmas, too, and Happy Hanukkah! to our Jewish friends and Happy Holidays in some circumstances.

According to an article I read the other day, Yahoo is not the same as it used to be and Marissa Meyer may not be the savior she was supposed to be a couple years ago. ?If this message gets sent, I guess I won't have to go through the grueling process of resetting my password.

I remember turntables although I don't have one anymore. ?If I want to play some of the records in a thirty volume set of recordings that I have, I guess I will have to get one; assuming that they are still playable after sitting?for three years?in the garage where it gets rather warm in the summertime.

Anyhow, Merry Christmas to all. ?And happy 2015!

Hi John!

I remember all those things and it's always Merry Christmas.

We moved to Newton County, Georgia and are in line for a tornado watch so can't stay on here long!

My brother sent me the Gazette article on our old schools being torn down.? How sad but I guess that's progress.

Hope everyone has a great Christmas.

Greetings from Central Texas. Temp was 77 yesterday and struggling today to get to 50.
Well I had to hunt around the house but I did find our single record turntable but no records to play on it. However we have a number of cassette tape players.
Hope everybody is doing well the Christmas Season. ?We are doing good and he family is doing good also.
Don't know if the word got passed around but Lynn Weikert's granddaughter was killed a couple of days ago in a car accident near Orrville.
Have a Joyous Holiday Season!
