52 Years
Fifty two years. That's how long it took for one of my classmates to pay us a visit! It's probably my fault for not issuing more specific invitations. Thanks to John (The Weiselmeister) and his wife Rose, the fifty two year draught was broken this weekend.
Suzanne and I had a great visit with John and Rose. This was an especially nice visit since Suzanne and Rose were in the same class at Orrville. The only thing bad about the visit was that it was too short. So as to not let another 52 years pass before the next classmate stops by, please know that our door is always open and we are eagar to see any of you. Just let us know when you are coming our way. we are on our road trip. You were most gracious to us during our whirlwind trip we are still on. We had hoped to visit Pat and George Lee also but they were not at their home during our travel time. Maybe next time we pass through their area. Luckily the tornado devastation avoided your part of North Carolina while we were there. We spent several days in Falls Church, Va (liberal hotspot close to Washington, DC) and also Flint Hill, Va close to Shenandoah National Park. Now we are in Wooster, OH staying at the luxurious Rodeway Inn to visit friends and relatives for a few days. I hope to visit with a few classmates in the Dalton metro area before we depart. Next destination will be Neenah, WI where we lived for 9 long years. Then on to Allen, TX to visit our son and possibly find time to visit Linda Freeland who also lives in Allen. Then finally home to Boerne on April 30. I hope Texas burning has stopped by then. The drought there is horrible. We have had .06 inches of rain since March 1. Sorry about all this boring detail about our trip, but you can just skip all this trivia and I won't be offended. As the others have said, classmates are always welcome to visit with us at our home in Boerne, TX. Just let us know you are headed our way. Our home has a couple of empty bedrooms and free food. No credit cards or background checks are required. Happy Easter y'all John and Rose Douglas --- In dalton59@..., patricia lee <pjlee1117@...> wrote:
