Memories
Didn't Lanny Rossiter marry Marilyn Graber?
I was in a car with several people and we did the corn shuck thing and they
were staked. The farmer was hiding in the field with a gun and lined us

Re: Who remembers Cleveland TV stations in the 50's?
One of our former choir directors used Kate Smith as the model for how the women, especially the altos, should sing. He would say "Think Kate Smith". I think he had a physical posture in mind as

Stupid things we did back then
Lanny's corn shuck story was great! The farmers outfoxed them.
Anybody else have a story about off the wall things we did?
I recall one time a group of us (not sure who was part of this

Re: Who remembers Cleveland TV stations in the 50's?
Kate Smith died physically in 1986 but her rendition of "God Bless America"
will always continue. I remember when ever I was sick and had to stay home,
I would watch TV, Arthur Godfrey, Tennessee

It was a good way to get out of classes for awhile. But I do think
we actually did learn something about car lengths and stopping

Re: Drivers Ed at Dalton High (before crash test dummies, we were the dummies)
I think they talked about car lengths, rather than seconds; that is, one car length for every ten miles and hour. I think seconds are easier to work with - just count one thousand one, one thousand

Re: cafeteria and teachers
I remember Charles Smith. That is the first year I moved from the Kidron
school to Dalton. I seem to remember that most of the class didn't like Mr.
Smith - thought he was too hard or always looking

Thanks for setting me straight. I had forgotten the reason for the big
