Happy New Year
Barbara Moser Pailloz
I'd like to tell all of you Happy New Year too from the sunny (at
least today) north Georgia mountains. I admire all of you that remembered the names of our classmates, I must have left my memory somewhere!!!! I don't remember a Bobby Baker either but do remember Bobby Butcher but don't think he was with us in the beginning. I hope to get to Dalton sometime this year but not sure when yet. My parents are still living but not doing real well. My Dad is showing signs of Alzheimer's so want to get there while he still remembers who I am. I'm still working so it's not always easy to just pack up and go. Barb Moser Pailloz |

Good evening - It took a while to get in but thanks to Paul, I tried
again and succeeded :). We are in the process of packing up to move 1/2 mile from our current home and the pictures are up in a storage facility. When I get up next week, I'll try to locate it. I had written on the names on the back of my picture so we can fill in the remainder of the names. Yes, Betty, the individual you identified was Sue Lehman. I think there was a Gary Bosley in our class, but that will be confirmed later. Trying to keep warm -2 here in Central New York this morning and about 10 degrees now - a heat wave will be coming in this week 47! Some of the treasurers we have kept! Stay warm Betty Ann (Hochstetler) Blackman |
Feliz Ano Novo from Brasilia
Hi from the sunny South!
I am enjoying the messages and pictures and many memories. We hope to go to Ohio in May 2009 for the 50th. I am recuperating from a hip replacement surgery 6 weeks ago--a result of our very active and wonderful 41 years in Brazil. We are retired in the capital and enjoy traveling, leading the interdenominational English Church, and music. If you want to contact us personally, use our Brazilian email address which I check several times daily (otisbetty@...) Blessings, Betty |
Happy 2008 To The Class of '59!
Happy New Year to All. 2008 - 8 means New beginnings and I look
forward with anticipation to this year. 2007 did not start out the best for me, although it ended with much blessing! With each new year on Jan 1st, I become one year older. Ugh! Because it's my birthday today! There's no trying to hide my age from you all as you about the same age as me! I'm happy to have a birthday, rather than the alternative! I have many things to be thankful for as we start the new year such as I'm working right now (contract job) at a great company 2.9 miles from my home, a job that was a very direct answer to prayer. At this point, the girl whose place I was taking, has returned, so I'm just going day by day and hopefully can work there for a while. It's a possibility they could find a place for me. I have a wonderful family, some still back in Dalton, 2 daughters, a son, 1 daughter-in-law, 1 son-in-law and 2 beautiful grandsons 5 and 3 here with me in the Dallas ara. I will meet up with them later today to have a seafood birthday dinner. I have many wonderful friends, a great church, active in a jail ministry, and new doors that are opening for me to sing both Gospel and Patsy Cline songs. I also have a home that I enjoy that's in Allen, TX. My health is good and I live an active, full life. I'm also thankful for all the reconnecting with old friends and classmates that has taken place this year, since my trip home to Dalton last August. It's been amazing and fun! You all have been a part of that too! HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR'S DAY AND A WONDERFUL YEAR AHEAD! Linda Fahrney Freeland |

开云体育Hi, Gwen -
?
Merry Christmas to you and Glenn and all of your
family, too!
?
The twins are Merlin and Harlen Stoin.? And I
guess you saw Pat Dearolf Lee's response that says she has names for 47.?
That is a lot more than I can come up with.
?
I did notice that your row is the only one that had a
100% DHS '59 graduation rate.

First Grade Picture

Hello, Everyone!
A Merry Christmas to All! I've scanned our first grade picture and posted it in an album on the website. I've made the album so that anyone in the group may add pictures to it. Can anyone name all of the 54 little darlings depicted in the picture? How many of the 54 graduated in the DHS Class of '59? Enjoy! Chuck |

Hi Dan,
Glad to see you on board. It looks like you have already figured out how to post pictures! If you need any help with the site here, let me know and I will be glad to assist. Greetings to those that are already on line with the Dalton Fab 59...
I was just responding to Pat's e-mail and found my way on to the Yahoo site... Trusting to get some feed back to help me out with this site... as far as pics go, that is... Living in the Dalton area, retired and enjoying my family. Lots of things going on in our lives... will share more as I learn to navigate this thing. Dan Hostetler |
How true was your class prophesy?
Patricia Dearolf Lee
well mine reads like this...........
Pat Dearolf, a beautician, is prettying all the gals, giving them new hair styles, plus finding many pals. i did go to canton beauty school the fall after graduation and worked for awhile for Ethel Woodruff in Dalton. Then after I married and moved to orrville i worked at buehlers mart wearing gold lame smocks and 4 in high heels to work each day (not my idea) i worked there for about 2 years (married in May 1963) and had lots of trouble with my hands from the perm solutions and such and spent lots of time/money at the dermatologist. When i changed dermatologists the new one would not treat me till i got out of that profession. So that was the end of my career as a beautician. the last part of the prophesy ...finding many pals is the truest part as I have been blessed with many friends. if you need to be reminded of what yours said I have access to the very yellowed class of 59 newspaper. |
Another Classmate signed on. Yeah!
Patricia Dearolf Lee
Yeah ....I am excited that Corrine has signed on with the rest of us.
That makes 10.....Corrine, I am looking forward to hearing more from you and where you have been. I hope more of you will be posting photos soon! Congrats to Linda who starts a new job on Monday! Hoping to see more messages also. |
Italy! bella bella
Patricia Dearolf Lee
well i came back last night after 2 weeks touring the back roads of
Italy. It was fantastic and you must experience it! i hope to post some pictures soon. Hope to see more classmates join in soon. Please encourage someone you know to sign up and participate. pjlee |
James Forrer
Patricia Dearolf Lee
Just found out today from one of our classmates that James Forrer
passed away about 3 years ago. This is very sad as he was a great guy. I think that makes 8 that are deceased. We were a class of 56 and from what I can figure there were 33 of us that started school together. |

Database Information
Patricia Dearolf Lee
I have created a database with all the classmate information that i
have gather up to this date. (not bad considering i started two weeks ago) I think you can access it if you are signed up and then check to make sureI have your correct information. I have been typing all evening so I am getting cross eyed. You can also print a copy for yourself if you wish. Thanks for all your help in pulling this info together and also for signing up on the group and supporting our effort to reconnect again. Thanks also for the pictures you have posted. If you have any thoughts or concerns email me direct and perhaps I can help. Also Paul Sturpe will be signing on as a moderator as well so we can keep this a safe place to hang out till we meet again. Any additions or corrections just let me know...thanks pjlee |
