Re: DaleOfShadows: Maztica, 13 Eleasis
Cerina, who's been scratching behind her left ear, hears what William has said. "Hey, one minute. We haven't found what we're looking for, and neither have y'all. You came in from higher up, and we came in from lower due to an earthquake. As neither of our groups have found their item, I can only assume that it is somewhere lower than where we started. I'm also beginning to wonder if we are looking for the same item. I say, lets rest if our casters need to, and then stay together, and go deeper. If it isn't the same item, then maybe we'll find both and can stay friends and return to where we need to be." OOC: My spellchecker is southern. I wrote you all 3 times, and it kept making it y'all. Of course it could be that I grew up in Texas and have influenced by Grammarly program, lol "I miss the old days." Cthulhu

Gordon?returns to the raft as a crow then deactivates the?Animal Shapism effect and resumes his normal, rotund Gnomish physique. Inside the coffin are the bones of?Tlacaelel, for the doppelganger has eaten the flesh. Upon the skull is a ferret-faced, feathered mask. Scattered around the interior are the ornaments once worn by the corpse. Collecting them up, the sorcerer?Misty Steps?back to the group.
There you all examine each piece carefully. These items include a stone box, two jade bracelets (worth 20 gp apiece), and an alabaster statuette of?Mother Goddess?herself,?Maztica?holding armfuls of twisting branches (worth 25 gp). The stone box (itself?worth 75 gp) holds five small figurines carved of coral (25 gp each), a large jade thumb ring (10 gp), and eight ceramic miniature flasks of perfumes and essences (10 gp apiece).
“Who’s keeping tally?”?Brother Ashley?asks, as?Tabby?watches to see how much?North?has kept hidden in his pockets. She’s relatively confident and a bit surprised to find that he’s emptied them thoroughly and honestly.
“All I’m interested in is this statuette,”?Mira?says, admiring the alabaster craftsmanship in true antiquarian manner. “But if no one else wants to carry them, I’ll not leave any carvings behind.”
Flynn?is fairly impressed with the Jade bracelets and ring. Though not currently magical, the quality of the stone is suitable for future enchantment and though they are currently appraised at minor value, with the right craftsman’s cut and polish they can be improved significantly.?
Neither?Fenn?nor the?grey Dragonborn?show any interest in any of the trinkets, thinking only of the Rod, but ‘Levenfingers?offers away the carved coral figures and crudely cut gemstones, requesting only his share of the coin necklaces. “Coins spend anywheres,” he explains, not wanting to bother with haggling over ‘possible’ values. He also notes that the various clay pots on the porch are sealed with wax, and they hold scented oils and perfumes- twenty such containers in total, (each weighing 10 pounds and with contents worth about 15 gp). Several places that represent royal granaries in the modeled city are actually stone bins that hold aromatic woods and spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, quince, cinchona, sandalwood, and pepper). “This haul could be worth a total of 250??gold but weighs a good 10 pounds,” he complains.
Fenn agrees with the Barbarian’s assessment.
And what do you do?
OOC:?Fenn’s group isn’t leaving immediately, so if you have other things to talk about feel free. Also, someone needs to decide what each person is taking and what, if anything, gets left behind because of its weight. Speak up and claim what you desire!?/OOC

The cool cavern air ripples across North's hawk feathers. His keen bird eye spots bits of jewels and treasures down on the copper raft. He lets out a? - CaW! - as he circles again. As he flies in closer to?the area, he suspects a possible trap on the raft... He angles his head toward his target and looks down with determination. Following the angle of his head, North the Bird, then pivots his wings to swing him down and then up... and as he does this, he lets out a magnum sized bird dropping from his hawk body with the intention of splatting it directly onto the nobleman's corpse. He has taken all physics into account for this action to ensure precision?as well as impact and composition of the dropping. If no trap is triggered by this action, North will then land on the raft and start collecting treasures. He's particularly interested in the granite rod that is held by the corpse. Sniffing the dart and examining it thoroughly, she’s relatively certain that it is NOT poisoned.
Within the chest they find eleven platinum coin necklaces (100 gp each), fifteen bracelets of obsidian, bronze and shell (10 gp each), and two piles of gems (tourmalines, spinels, and topazes; sixty gems worth 5 gp each) lying upon two silver platters (15 gp apiece).
