or even the password to enter. He does, however, mention that sailors often have wrestling matches to determine who does the worst chores or who stays behind watching the ship while the others get to go to the tavern.
Making your way through the dock ward to the town center, you easily find the White Wail, a large, two-story stone structure painted white. But on the docks outside there is a scuffle occurring. From
what you can make of it after listening for a moment is that tensions abound between the local farmers and the operators of the river aquifers upstream. In recent seasons the taxes for water have increased considerably and now the merchant mariners are fed
up with how much the farmers have to charge. It hasn¡¯t come to blows yet, but the farmers and sailors are all on edge.?
Moving on toward the tavern, Brother Ashley can hear raised voices from within- more arguments about water rights and taxes.?
