November 4, 1947 The citizens of San Francisco vote 3 to 1 to save the Powell Street cable car line. ? November 4, 1953 The Baltimore & Ohio announces it is all diesel between Jersey City NJ and Cumberland MD. ? November 4, 1963 Trolley service ends in Baltimore. ? November 4, 2021 CN announces it will be purchasing a Wabtec battery-electric locomotive. November 4, 1956 Philadelphia trolley route 2 on 15th and 16th Streets was converted to bus operation with GMC TDH-5106 diesel buses due to a bus shuffle after route 26 on Olney Avenue was totally re-equipped with newer GMC TDH-5105s. The route 2 conversion ended the use of plain 8000-series Peter Witt cars with wooden seats.
