New owner of a pair of DQ10s that need a lot of work

 

Looking good. How'd the test go?
 

The tweeter is now working but the super is still down. My next step is to pull and test the L5 Inductor and the 8.5 cap unless you have a better suggestion. Funning thing is the non-mirrored right side has the same issue, no super tweeter.
 

I dont own DQ10's, but I own DQ28's. I recapped the with PIO? caps and they sound amazing with the. The caps are the pinkish/brown ones off of ebay. Great caps, low cost. Might give it a try. Ive recapped ALL my speakers with these. Never an issue with them. F.Y.I.

I¡¯ve never heard anything from piezo tweeter before or after xo rcapoing. Only if I put a wire from amp to it.

Most likely your not going to hear them working or not. Get a SPL meter and you will find it will.?
