DQ-1W woofer replacement

 

The speaker of my DQ-1W just broke. Elecrically it is OK but nothing moves anymore. Probably?it will not be possible to repair it. So I'm looking for a replacement speaker.

It is a 13" SEAS 33 F-WK DQ.

?


Any idea on where to possibly find one?

If nothing moves the voice coil has distorted and is wedged in the magnet

Replacing the driver is one choice.?

Another option is to do a reconing, If you can find a kit. ?Reconing includes a new cone and surround, but most importantly a new coil and spider. ?Reconing is not too difficult if you take your time. ?The hard part will be finding a reconing kit. ?

I have two DQ 1W's for sale if you want to consider one.

Hi Marco,

If I were in your situation, I’d have?Bill Legall?rebuild the woofer. He can do miracles. I’ve had him rebuild several woofers over the years and his work is impeccable. He’s also one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Here’s a link to his website:
