Crossover hints and tips- COMPONENT PLACEMENT

Charlie Conger All Messages By This Member #6160 Guys, I found this YT video last night. It is very well done and demonstrates another reason why analog passive crossovers are less than ideal. I verified these effects are all real this morning. I knew about the issues with coils since high school but?I never thought about resistors and caps!?Mind blown! ? The good news is it is easy to reduce THIS ?problem to insignificance. ? I have used widely separated crossover boards in the past for each driver to avoid these effects. ? ?
Charlie Conger All Messages By This Member #6161 I plan on investigating the audibility of this later but think it has the potential of having a bigger effect than changing out normal functioning resistors, caps and inductors. Have any of you tried laying out the DQ10 crossover using techniques?
