Everybody Missed It: Bombshell Huckabee Announcement - SCOTUS Case Could Flip 2020, Boot Biden, Harris By Randy DeSoto January 2, 2023 at 2:00pm Former Arkansas governor and Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee published a piece recently calling attention to the case Brunson v. Adams set to be heard before the U.S. Supreme Court this week. What the plaintiff/appellant, Raland Brunson of Ogden, Utah, and his three brothers seek is nothing less than the removal of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris from office, arguing members of Congress failed to fulfill their constitutional duty on Jan. 6, 2021 by not reviewing allegations of fraud in the 2020 presidential election. “Sit down; I guarantee this Supreme Court story is real,” Huckabee wrote. “The Supreme Court has agreed to a hearing for a case that could conceivably — PLEASE consider this the longest of long shots — overturn the election of 2020, throw out all the legislators who voted to certify the results and leave them ineligible to run for office ever again, even for town dogcatcher,” he explained. The case is set for oral argument on Friday, Jan. 6, the second anniversary of the Capitol incursion. Trending: Founding Drummer of Rock Band Dead at 45: 'He Laid Down to Rest and Simply Faded Out' The argument the Brunson brothers make in their lawsuit is that 388 lawmakers named in their court filing took an oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution “against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” Yet, they “purposely thwarted all efforts to investigate [allegations of fraud in the 2020 election], whereupon this enemy was not checked or investigated, therefore the Respondents adhered to this enemy.” The Brunsons recounted in their petition to the Supreme Court, “On January 6, 2021, the 117th Congress held a proceeding and debate in Washington DC (“Proceeding”). This Proceeding was for the purpose of counting votes under the 2020 Presidential election for the President and Vice President of the United States under Amendment XII.” “During this Proceeding over 100 members of U.S. Congress claimed factual evidence that the said election was rigged. The refusal of the Respondents to investigate this congressional claim (the enemy) is an act of treason and fraud by Respondents,” the brothers continued. “A successfully rigged election has the same end result as an act of war; to place into power whom the victor wants, which in this case is Biden, who, if not stopped immediately, will continue to destroy the fundamental freedoms of Brunson and all U.S. Citizens and courts of law.” So the Brunsons are targeting the process itself that took place during the certifying of the election on Jan. 6, 2021, not trying to prove the election was rigged or stolen. Huckabee noted: “The argument in this case is that by not looking into serious allegations of election fraud, those who voted to confirm the results of the 2020 election broke their oath of office and are ineligible to run for any elected office again. To give you an idea of the scope of the potential fallout, Kamala Harris is in that group, and so is Mike Pence.” In a commentary piece last month, Tim Canova — a constitutional law scholar and professor at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law in Florida — offered his assessment as to why the Supreme Court took up the case, which had been dismissed at the federal district court level in February without doing to trial. “It seems astounding that the Court would wade into such waters two years to the day after the Congressional vote to install Joe Biden as President. But these are not normal times,” Canova wrote. Related: As Special Grand Jury Probe Into Trump and 2020 Election Closes, We Could Face an 'Epic' Moment in History He pointed to the criminal referral by the Jan. 6 committee for President Donald Trump and the FBI’s collusion with Twitter and Facebook to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop

OT: Winter weather 'go bag' could save lives, say safety preparedness experts
Winter weather 'go bag' could save lives, say safety preparedness experts https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/lifestyle-how-pack-go-bag-ahead-emergency Winter weather 'go bag' could save lives, say safety preparedness experts As winter weather continues, be sure to have an emergency kit containing these critical items By Christine Rousselle , Michael Hollan | Fox News A well-stocked emergency kit can be lifesaving when winter storms roll in. Winter weather can quickly turn treacherous. The current casualties related to the winter storm in Western New York — one of the most severe winter storms in the region's recorded history, as Fox News Digital has reported — indicate just how treacherous. At least 35 deaths are now attributed to the storm, as of reporting on Tuesday morning, officials said. WHAT TO DO IF YOU'RE TRAPPED IN YOUR CAR DURING A SNOWSTORM A complete winter weather emergency kit, or "go bag," should contain a combination of supplies needed to survive, along with tools that can come in handy in emergency situations. Go bags are useful in situations when a quick evacuation is required. Brianna Brooks, owner of Scott Brooks Towing out of Townshend, Vermont, hooks up a vehicle to a flatbed truck at a three-vehicle crash site during a snowstorm on Friday, Dec. 16, 2022. With more winter weather on the way, it's a good time to prepare a go bag, which could be life-saving, say experts. (Kristopher Radder/The Brattleboro Reformer via AP) Yet they can also be incredibly helpful for people who find themselves suddenly stuck, in a car or at home, amid a blizzard or nor’easter. Emergency supply of food and water is critical A good emergency supply kit has three days' worth of water and food per person, according to Ready.gov. This means roughly 2,000 calories of food and a gallon of water for each person for each day. It may not be practical to carry around gallons of water in a go bag. These kits should also include items like can openers, maps, basic tools, garbage bags and duct tape. So consider LifeStraw or a similar product with a small water filter that filters out viruses, bacteria and parasites from dirty water, as the product's website says it does. LifeStraw also sells water bottles with an integrated filter, as Fox News Digital previously noted — so in a snow emergency, one can fill up a water bottle with melted snow and drink it without fear. A supply of food and water is critical to include in a winter weather emergency go bag, according to experts. (iStock) The go bag should also include items such as a battery-powered or hand-crank radio, flashlight, first aid kit, extra batteries and backup cell phone chargers, according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency website (FEMA.gov). These kits should also include items like can openers, maps, basic tools, garbage bags and duct tape. Additionally, consider purchasing a multi-use tool such as a Swiss army knife. Medications to pack in a go bag It is also important to have a seven-day supply of necessary medications and copies of important personal documents in your bad weather go bag, according to the American Red Cross. A man is shown brushing snow off a car. A good emergency supply kit has three days' worth of water and food per person. This means roughly 2,000 calories of food and a gallon of water for each person for each day. (AP Photo/Elise Amendola) While a person who is riding out a storm at home likely has full access to a medicine cabinet, this is not the case when someone in a car gets stuck during winter weather. In addition to any necessary medications, it's a good idea to keep a small supply of over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol or Advil in a car’s emergency kit. A blanket in a bright color can be used to signal for help in addition to providing heat. Most disaster preparedness websites recommend having three days' worth of all emergency supplies. Ministry of Food Christmas leaflet A FAVORITE CHRISTMAS STORY Because of Love A brother and sister had made their usual hurried, obligatory pre- Christmas visit to the little farm where dwelt their elderly parents with their small herd of horses. The farm was where they had grown up and had been named Lone Pine Farm because of the huge pine, which topped the hill behind the farm. Through the years the tree had become a talisman to the old man and his wife, and a landmark in the countryside. The young siblings had fond memories of their childhood here, but the city hustle and bustle added more excitement to their lives, and called them away to a different life. The old folks no longer showed their horses, for the years had taken their toll, and getting out to the barn on those frosty mornings was getting harder, but it gave them a reason to get up in the mornings and a reason to live. They sold a few foals each year, and the horses were their reason for joy in the morning and contentment at day's end. Angry, as they prepared to leave, the young couple confronted the old folks "Why do you not at least dispose of The Old One." She is no longer of use to you. It's been years since you've had foals from her. You should cut corners and save so you can have more for yourselves. How can this old worn out horse bring you anything but expense and work? Why do you keep her anyway?" The old man looked down at his worn boots, holes in the toes, scuffed at the barn floor and replied, " Yes, I could use a pair of new boots. His arm slid defensively about the Old One's neck as he drew her near with gentle caressing he rubbed her softly behind her ears. He replied softly, "We keep her because of love. Nothing else, just love." Baffled and irritated, the young folks wished the old man and his wife a Merry Ch

Search with quotes If you're asking a super specific question or looking for a particular term, it might be beneficial for you to type what you're looking for in quotation marks before pressing Enter. When you attempt to search for a term like a water bottle with filter and you don't include quotes, Google is going to search for anything that includes those four words. Screenshot of a Google search for a water bottle with a filter without quotation marks in the search bar. 'Sad cat’ named Ellie surrendered by owner because animal 'wanted to cuddle,' then goes viral https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/sad-cat-named-ellie-surrendered-owner-animal-wanted-cuddle-goes-viral Published December 19, 2022 2:00am EST 'Sad cat’ named Ellie surrendered by owner because animal 'wanted to cuddle,' then goes viral Viral tweet said this cat is a 'love bug' and 'did nothing to deserve this' By Christine Rousselle Elie, a four-year-old black-and-white cat in Virginia, went viral on Twitter for her "sad" life story. "Y'all. This is the saddest thing I've ever seen," wrote Twitter user @revengegrill on Dec. 12. "This cat was returned to the shelter because she wanted to cuddle her owners at night." (See the tweet lower down in this article.) The tweet included an image of Ellie, as well as her information sheet. HOUSTON CAT WITHOUT A HOME IS HOPING TO BE SCOOPED UP BY A LOVING FAMILY FOR THE HOLIDAYS In the cat's "voice," the sheet says, "I was returned because I wanted to sleep with my human at night and I wasn't allowed to, so I would cry outside the bedroom door." The tweet was retweeted over 10,000 times and received more than 71,000 likes in just three days. Ellie the cat is pictured here. "This cat was returned to the shelter because she wanted to cuddle her owners at night," wrote a Twitter user. (Meow Stories ) The Twitter user then followed up her tweet by saying that Ellie was at the Chester, Virginia, PetSmart location and that the cat "was literally such a love bug and did nothing to deserve this." The information sheet notes that Ellie is four years old, has been spayed and has received all her shots. 'GENTLE GIANT' WITH A 'BIG HEART': TUXEDO CAT NAMED AUGUSTUS GLOOP IS UP FOR ADOPTION IN UTAH Kate Balow, owner of Meow Stories Central VA Cat Rescue, is facilitating Ellie's adoption. She told Fox News Digital in a phone interview that Ellie's viral fame has resulted in about 25 applications to adopt the hard-luck kitty. She was scheduled to meet potential adopters on Friday, Dec. 16, Balow said, noting she feels confident that Ellie will be going home with one of them. HURRICANE IAN DISPLACED SCORES OF PETS IN FLORIDA: WHERE ARE THEY NOW? "She's a really pretty little black-and-white female," said Balow. "She's super friendly." Ellie originally came to Meow Stories after a shelter in West Virginia was too crowded to accept her, Balow also said. A different cat is picture in a cage here. Some shelters house animals on site as they await a new home. Meow Stories uses a network of foster families to care for needy cats, owner Kate Balow said. (Sean Dempsey - PA Images/PA Images via Getty Images) Last August she was adopted, but her adopter then began a relationship with someone who had a cat allergy, she continued. Ellie was thus banned from the couple's bedroom — something that made her very upset, Balow also said. So Ellie came back to Meow Stories. NEW YORK BANS THE SALE OF DOGS, CATS AND RABBITS AT RETAIL PET STORES Balow's organization does not have a physical shelter. Instead, it facilitates adoptions with the help of foster families, said Balow. The group also has a partnership with a local PetSmart to showcase available felines. Ellie, pictured above demonstrating her climbing skills, is described as "super friendly" and "really pretty." As of Friday, she already had some potential adopters show interest in her. (Meow Stories) Ellie was left at the local PetSmart with very little notice, said Balow. "And so [the former owner] called us and we agreed to take her back. We always take our cats back," she said. TORTOISESHELL CAT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN THE HAMPTONS: ‘FULL-FIGURED’ AND LOOKING FOR A LOVING HOME "And, I mean, the story is really sad because he [the previous owner] couldn't even be bothered to wait for my husband to get to the PetSmart store," Balow recounted. "He literally ran over there with her in her carrier and left her there with the PetSmart employees until my husband got there." A sweet cat called Ellie is pictured here. Astounding Historical Snapshots
The Titanic Iceberg Approximately 3,000 years ago, an iceberg began a slow drift from waters off the coast of Greenland to where it would eventually make its deadly mark on history while floating through the North Atlantic. That night of infamy occurred on May 31, 1911, when this iceberg struck the Titanic (or the Titanic struck it) and caused the ocean liner to sink, taking with it the souls of 1,503 passengers and crew. The photo seen above was reportedly taken by Stephen Rehorek while onboard the MS Bremen, on April 20, 1912, Red paint still marked the ‘berg where it made contact with the Titanic. Although it was estimated to be upwards of 30 meters in height in places (100 feet) above the water, it would be the last thing this iceberg would be known for. Scientists know that while the waters of the North Atlantic are extremely cold, they’re not chilly enough to support an iceberg of this size for long. It is estimated that Titanic’s icy downfall would have been a melted memory before the start of World War One in 1914. The Newspaper Boy Delivering the Titanic Disaster This picture features a young newsboy standing outside the White Star Line offices in London holding an Evening News poster with a ‘Titanic Disaster Great Loss of Life’ headline splashed across it. It was taken on 16 April 1912, just one day after the Titanic’s tragic sinking. Just 16 years old when this picture was taken, Ned Parfett would be killed six years later while serving with the British army in France. 1970s Afghanistan College Girls This early 1970s picture of Afghanistani women reading on a bench with fully exposed legs crossed is an example of how things once were in a country known today for doing everything it can to oppress women and rob them of their basic human rights. However, what this photo doesn’t show are the millions of women of the time, who unlike the leg-crossers in this picture, lived in rural areas and poorer cities who followed guidelines more in line with what we think of Afghanistan today. Yes, this photo does illustrate the fact that at a point in its history, Afghanistan allowed some women more freedom. The key word here is ‘some.’ London's Tiniest Shoe Store If you were ever wondering how small a proper store can be, then this shoe shop in London is a fairly decent example. This photo, taken in 1900, features the unnamed shopkeeper in his 1.2 square meter (13 square foot) in his very modest retail outlet. Even though it’s hard to picture, but shops not unlike the one featured here were not uncommon to see along crowded city blocks in England’s major cities. In the late 20th century, the UK economy was becoming centered more and more around the impact, and perks, of industrialization. The benefits had a trickle-down effect, with services and consumer goods fueling smaller, independent business owners. Wooden Bathing Suits A short-lived trend in the late 1920s, wooden bathing suits were part of a trend in swimwear that was designed to help people who felt less comfortable in the water. The suits were made of spruce and apparently helped keep less confident swimmers afloat (German inventors did something similar with bicycle tires). The women in the photo are the “Spruce Girls”, who modeled the suits at product events for wood companies. Despite their efforts, we still can’t imagine the suits were terribly comfortable, in the water or out of it. This is definitely another example of a situation where fashion did not equal comfort. Machu Picchu's First Photo Opportunity If you scour the text and research papers surrounding its discovery, one of the new seven wonders of the world might have been a royal estate. Some scholars believe Peru’s Machu Picchu (‘old peak’), a sacred city built around 1450 for the Inca king Pachacutec, might have been just that. And it was found almost entirely by accident after a contingent from Yale University, originally on a hunt for the Inca stronghold Vilcabamba, were informed by a farmer of nearby ruins. American archaeologist Hiram Bingham and his team of explorers arrived at the foot of Mac

OT --> 17 Facebook Scams You Need to Take Seriously
Good info from Reader's Digest https://www.rd.com/list/facebook-scams-keep-falling-for/? 17 Facebook Scams You Need to Take Seriously Marissa LaliberteUpdated: Nov. 04, 2022 You might just use Facebook for watching funny cat videos, but crooks use it to steal your money and information SOPA IMAGES/GETTY IMAGES Beware of scams on Facebook Facebook can be a wonderful place full of opportunities to learn new things, share the special moments in your life and reconnect with old friends. But there is also a dark side to this popular social media platform: It can be a hotbed for Facebook scams, fraud, misinformation and disinformation. “Users should approach all social media interactions [on Facebook], whether it is a post, a tweet or a direct message, with a healthy dose of skepticism,” says Eva Velasquez, CEO and president of Identity Theft Resource Center. “Content is not necessarily vetted, and with the number of social media account takeovers on the rise, you cannot be certain you are interacting with someone you actually know.” With more and more Facebook scams being exposed every day, each new scam is more clever and less detectable than the last. Below, experts share their top online security tips to avoid these nefarious and sometimes quite believable common online scams on Facebook. As a rule of thumb, remember to do your own research, never click on suspicious links and distrust sites asking you to enter personal information—it’s one of the ways social media accounts get hacked. Still got hacked? Here is how to recover your hacked Facebook account. 0 of 1 minute, 42 seconds, Volume 0% JGI/JAMIE GRILL/GETTY IMAGES Fake medical fundraisers Unfortunately, scammers will often exploit sad stories like a heartbreaking diagnosis or life-threatening disease for their own benefit. They may send messages or create posts on Facebook pretending to be people diagnosed with cancer or recovering from a horrible car accident and ask for help with medical bills. In a similar COVID-19 related scam, fraudsters are claiming to have been stranded, infected or otherwise impaired by the virus and need financial support. Preying on people’s sympathy and kindness, these con artists will request donations to a GoFundMe webpage or through a third-party app like Venmo or CashApp. The pleas are often sent from copycat Facebook accounts (with real photos and stolen information), which disappear entirely once the money is transferred. Keep in mind that your money isn’t protected if you use a third-party app to donate to a fake fundraiser, which is why Venmo scams, CashApp scams and Zelle scams are so common. Clickbait scams One of the newer Facebook scams is known as the “like-farming” or clickbait scam. According to the Better Business Bureau, fraudsters will create posts that are meant to elicit some sort of strong emotional reaction. One method is through offering a tempting sale or promotion on products if the user “likes, comments and shares,” while others aim to get users to share the post as many times as possible through heart-warming pictures or faux-activism posts. The associated links could potentially put malware on your computer or require personal information (sometimes including credit card or social security numbers) to claim a prize. If a post requires extensive sharing or personal information, it’s best to be wary and check the original source for legitimacy. Facebook scams are sneakier than you might think—this true story of someone who got scammed on Facebook is just one example. In this bank scam, many fraudsters create fake giveaways to fool users into sharing personal information like a credit card number or clicking a link that could download a virus onto their phones or computers. That said, there are legitimate sweepstakes, raffles and giveaways. “But there’s usually an end goal there,” Velasquez says. Most companies are

A momma chimpanzee and her newborn baby had a tearful reunion at the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, Kansas, after being separated for nearly two days following complications from delivery. The chimpanzee, named Mahale, underwent an emergency C-section Nov. 15, and her baby, Kucheza — "play" in Swahili — was placed in the zoo's veterinary hospital by animal care staff. Mom and baby were kept apart for nearly two days before they were reunited. Footage recorded by the Sedgwick County Zoo shows the moment mom was able to hold her baby for the first time. In the video, which was posted to the zoo's Facebook page, Mahale is seen entering an enclosure where zookeepers had placed Kucheza, who was swaddled in blankets. (Sedgewick County Zoo) The zoo explained on Facebook that Kucheza was born via C-section because of a complication during birth. The baby chimp had trouble getting oxygen and was hospitalized for treatment before making a quick recovery. Once zoo doctors gave the green light, Kucheza was returned to the chimpanzee enclosure where Mahale could view him through a mesh screen. They were reunited once zookeepers felt it was safe to do so, according to KTVU-TV. Mahale and Kucheza are now "doing great," according to the zoo's recent Facebook posts. This was Mahale's third baby. Chris Pandolfo is a writer for Fox News Digital. Send tips to chris.pandolfo@... and follow him on Twitter @ChrisCPandolfo.

If You Leave the Gate Open!
FOOD FOR THOUGHT… If you leave the gate open, your cows will wander off. So, if you intentionally leave the gate open, you want the cows to wander off. You can't blame stupidity or laziness. It was intentional. If you cut police budgets, you will get more crime on the streets. So, if you intentionally cut police budgets, you wanted more crime on the streets. If you cut back the supply of oil, gas prices will go up. So if you intentionally cut back the supply of oil, you wanted gas prices to go up. If you print trillions of dollars without increasing the supply of goods, inflation will hit hard. So if you intentionally print trillions of dollars without more goods you wanted inflation to hit hard. If you leave the southern border wide open, you get more drug trafficking and human trafficking. So if you intentionally leave the border wide open, you wanted more drug trafficking and human trafficking. If you shut down 40% of the supply of baby formula in February, you'll get a huge shortage. When you KNOW a huge baby formula shortage is coming because of the F.D.A's actions and you purposefully do nothing to prevent it, month after month, until the crisis finally hits hard, you INTENDED this crisis. It is time to recognize the evil people behind that old man. They want crisis. They want chaos. They want riots. They want conflicts in your town. Their stated purpose years ago with Obama was to "take the US down a few notches on the world stage." You can feel the quality of your life going down with the country. These are not foolish or misguided people. They are intentionally and purposely taking our country somewhere we don't want to go...
