Recent Error in DX Keeper Creating DX Marathon Progress Report
6
? Hello Dave, I have been using DX Keeper and other DX Labs programs since midyear 2020 with great success and have never had a problem whatsoever. I am totally sold on the DX Lab Suite and have recommended it to many of my friends. Last year I submitted for the DX Marathon as Mixed Formula 100W, but I also kept tabs on my Challenge progress from inside DX Keeper just because it was fun. This year in 2025, I am pursuing the DX Marathon Challenge. Periodically I check my progress from inside DX Keeper using the Check Progress Tab and then clicking the Progress Button in the DX Marathon Challenge Section. This has been working every time without fail both last year and this year until recently. I'm not really sure when it stopped working. I figured I had pushed some button wrong and hadn't paid much attention to it but then yesterday I decided to delve into it and see what I might have messed up. What happens is, when I push the button to run the report nothing happens, other than the DX Keeper Title Bar displaying the following Message: See DXKeeper Errorlog.txt. I have tried almost every other Progress Report on the page, and they all seem to work just fine. When looking at the DXKeeper Errorlog.txt, it has two errors that I can see that are repeatable. Here is what is generated into the Error Log every time I try to run the Progress report: 2025-04-22 20:42:25.424 > program error 48 in module MarathonModule.GenerateMarathonProgressReport, State = 10: Error in loading DLL 2025-04-22 20:42:25.432 > MarathonCountryCodeIndex = 0 2025-04-22 20:42:25.440 > I = 1001 2025-04-22 20:42:25.447 > J = 21 2025-04-22 20:42:25.453 > theCode = 0 2025-04-22 20:42:25.459 > theZone = 0 2025-04-22 20:42:25.466 > regionID = 0 2025-04-22 20:42:25.472 > theBandField = 0 2025-04-22 20:42:25.479 > theModeField = 0 2025-04-22 20:42:25.485 > CounterIndex = 0 2025-04-22 20:42:25.494 > program error 91 in module DXLogMain.MarathonProgressCmd_Click: Object variable or With block variable not set I went back in the log, and it appears that the first time these errors started showed up was on April 15, 2025, with Version 17.9.9. I am running up to date Windows 11 on a Dell i7 Computer. I am going to need help fixing this since this is beyond my paygrade and training. It seems like something may have gotten corrupted. Thanks for the fantastic software and for the excellent support! 73! David Simms (N4IW) Lynchburg, VA -- Thanks, David, N4IW

How do I log QO100 QSOs in DXKeeper correctly using Flex 6600
4
How do I log Satellite QO100 QSOs in DXKeeper correctly using Flex 6600? All my QSOs on QO100 Satellite are showing the wrong Tx frequency (10Ghz instead of 2.4Ghz). When I look at the Logged QSO in DXKeeper it shows as 10Ghz (3cm) for both TX & RX frequency? I am using WSJTX v2.80 improved and DXCommander to control the Flex 6600. I have it configured for Slice A as my RX on 10Ghz (3cm) and Slice B as TX on 2.4Ghz (13cm) using the Transverter settings. All works as it should except TX frequencies are recorded incorrectly. Frequency Dependent Device output to Serial Port
12
I am trying to use my transceiver frequency that is captured by DxCommander with the Frequency Dependent Device to generate a Ascii string to output to a serial port. I can get all the way to string generation, but cannot figure out how to direct it to a different serial port than the transceiver. I see how to do it with the parallel port but want it to go out to serial port controlled antenna switch. Thanks, Brian KC4KK

Electronic QSL
19
I reviewed the QSL info in the documentation and can¡¯t quite find what I¡¯m looking for. Lately I¡¯ve been getting electronic QSLs emailed to me. I¡¯d like to be able to print QSO details on an electronic image (jpg file) ready for emailing. No need for labels or printing to paper. Can this be done in DX Lab Suite? Statistics
5
Hello DxLabs's users We are on the air with TM56REF. We are few operators using differents software for logging. Each evening, they send me their adif logs. I merge them into a general log with all operators's log. I would like to know if there is a way to have statistics with DxLabs ? How many QSO per bands, per modes ... ? Many thanks Best 73 de F5PHW Phil

DB records

Greetings to all! The number of Spot Database Entries as shown in configuration spot database tab, does it count unique callsigns of spots or not? Is there a way to prune DB by keeping a specific amount of unique callsigns? TKS! 73 de SV1CDN, Dennis!

DXCCC Challenge: Worked vs Confirmed
8
I have 2453 confirmed dxcc challenge qso's and 2590 worked. A delta of 137. What report can I run to identify the 137 qso's so I can attempt to get them confirmed. There may be more than 137 qso's as I probably have qso's with multiple stations for the same dxcc/band. This would be a good thing as it would give me multiple chances to confirm the dxcc/band. I used to have a saved email with instructions on how to do this. I must of inadvertently deleted the email. I believe it was done with an SQL expression in the advanced icon to filter the log which I could then print with the Report icon. Thanks in advance. Rich -N5ZC

Interoperate with DXLab Applications - Getting data from SpotCollector
2
Hi All Looking for some help with a C# program in Visual Studio I am working on where I want to get the callsign from the SpotCollector for the spot that I have selected. The same concept that DXView gets the callsign to look up when a spot is selected. I have read the ¡°Building Application that Interoperate with DXLab Application¡± webpage and downloaded the DXLab Test, CSharp.NET Sample and VB.New Sample. I have used them to send data to commander to change the frequency and mode of my radio but I cannot figure out how to get data from Spot Collector. Can anyone point me in the right direction to help me with this. Thanks in advance Dave Pyle ¨C KW1DX Hollis, NH dave@...

WW's Web Server
9
I¡¯ve been playing with SpotCollector¡¯s Web Server, which I had working before I got my current home router, a TP-Link. I see the spots both on my computer and phone, but the font is in red on a black background when I select the Need button. When clicking on the X, I¡¯m assuming the font is in black but the background is still black, so I see only a black display in the window. Jim N7US

Spot Collector has stopped working
6
Hi all, My Spot Collector has stopped working. It was rolling along fine and, a few days ago, it stopped collecting spots. I get spots from 2 spot sources, both Telnet DX Clusters. When Spot Collector connects to them, I see plenty of spots coming through from them, but nothing shows in Spot Collector, even with no filters on and all bands checked. When I enable PacketCluster spots, which I have disabled because of the volume, I get a message that says it is not connected and ¡°SC_WSJTX has reported an error; the WSJT-X spot source has been disabled¡± I hadn¡¯t changed anything that I¡¯m aware of with it stopped working and I¡¯m stumped as to how to troubleshoot the problem. Single-column labels?
3
My current QSL cards have enough space that a 5 1/2 inch (width) label will fit, so I ordered labels of that size. At that size on 8/2 x 11 pages, you essentially have 1-column labels. Having not tried to use labels before, I didn't realize that the QSL page will handle 2-column or 3-column, but not 1-column labels. Suggestions on how to handle this? Ben -- Ben Coleman nj8j@... Importing wsjt-x adif file with one illegal call ends in importing the other calls in double
4
Today I worked TX9A in FT-8 everthing was logged in wsjtx adif file, where also 5 other qso, which where imported to dxkeeper already, are in. Usually the other 5 qsos are skipped, not so in this case, when the last one is "illegal" he imports the 5 and the illegal one 73 Alex, OE3JTB

Re-uploading QSO rejected by LOTW to LOTW
3
Recently, I attempted to upload QSO's for the special N4L callsign (for the Georgia QSO Party). Since this is a special call sign, I have certificates only for the dates of the QSO Party, one for each year. Evidently, I never got around to uploading the Qs for last year, so the upload included Qs for 2024 and 2025. LOTW selected the certificate for 2024, and rejected the 2025 Qs because they were outside of the dates for the 2024 certificate. I changed APP_DXKeeper_LotW_QSL_SENT to 'R' for the 2025 GQP Qs, and attempted to re-upload to LOTW. Of course, I got the message that there were were duplicate QSOs in the upload, and the upload was rejected. How do I get these rejected QSOs uploaded? Ben -- Ben Coleman nj8j@... Error When I Run ReCompute in DXKeeper
4
It appears I worked W1AW/7 in Washington state on 2/26/2014 @ 18:24Z. I think the error I got refers to the county in Washington where the station was located. The error is: Broken: ARRL Section WA is inconsistent with DXCC Entity K and State WA and County WA,Okanogan Is there any way to determine where the heck this station was located so I can correct this error? 73, Bob KB4CL

Graphics cards and Monitors for the shack/ DXLab (about setting affinity)
4
About the application's affinity being transient. There is at least one way to set the affinity with DXLab Launcher. Here is the command line that I use to start WSJT-X in the Apps Started Before DXLab Apps tab: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /C start /affinity 0x7 C:\Users\Public\wsjtx_2_7_0\bin\wsjtx.exe This sets the affinity to processors 0, 1 and 2. The hex code 0x7 is a bit mask where LSB represents CPU0, the next bit CPU1 and so on. So for example for CPUs 2 and 3 you would use hex code 0x0C. Here is how I start SpotCollector from the Apps Started After DXLab Apps tab: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /K start /affinity 0x8 c:\Users\Public\DXLab\SpotCollector\SpotCollector.exe I use the option /K, which leaves the window for cmd.exe running, beacuse otherwise I couldn't terminate SpotCollector with the Launcher. Termination method Close would need a static main window caption, which SpotCollector doesn't have and the kill method needs a running parent process (cmd.exe) for the Termination to work. So I choose the kill method in the Launchers Termination box. I have of course disabled SpotCollector in the Launcher's DXLab Apps tab. If I need to start SpotCollector manually I have to start it from the Apps Started After DXLab Apps tab's Start button, if I want to have the affinity set. -- 73 de Tapio at station OH3HN On Sat, Apr 12, 2025 at 09:20 PM, Dave AA6YQ wrote:

Commander: Ham Bands Only check box location
5
I'm working my way through the manual and help files. Guidance for Commander, section on Changing Frequency (p 50), refers to a check box for "Ham Bands Only.' I have not found the location of that checkbox in the Commander window nor in the Configuration window for Commander. The checked box seems to result in the up down buttons to the left of the VFO frequency changing frequency by ham band. My current buttons cause frequency to move up or down by one MHz. The Ham Bands Only checkbox must be obvious, but I'm just not seeing it. Thanks for help[! Rich, NU6T -- Richard Hill
