Xiegu in commander

Hello.
?
Is it possible to add Xiegu X6200 and other Xiegu transceivers to commander?

Is it possible to add Xiegu X6200 and other Xiegu transceivers to commander?

+ Support for the Xiegu X6200 is unlikely:

1. The User Manual for the Xiegu X6200 does not specify its "computer communications" instruction set.

2. Radioddity, the supplier, has in the past declined to provide loaner Xiegu radios.

3. Interest level has been extremely low: you are the first to ask.

For the?Xiegu X6200 I would try the IC-7300 driver with CI-V address 0x70.?

Don't remember source, but somwhere found CI-V address 0xA4.

CIV commands reference for Xiegu transceivers.
+ Thanks. That document applies to the Xiegu G90, G106, and X6100 - but not the the X6200.

+ Georges F6DFZ reports success having Commander control a Xiegu G106 by setting the "Radio Model" to IC-7100 and specifying a CI-V address of 88; the details are here:

+ If you try this with your X6200, please post your findings here.

The manual that came with the X6200 from Radioddity also has the CI-V commands for the X6200 (mostly that same as X6100). I can scan and send them if it's legaly.

+ Without access to a loaner, the most I will do is recommend an Icom model that you can try selecting. If you want to email me the X6200 documentation, send it to

I too have x6200 and would love to see it included in DXL

I have a new x6200 and got it connected to Commander and WSJT-X with IC-7300 19200 A4. Unfortunately none of my W11 W10 computers can see the X6200 sound card yet!

+ According to the x6200 documentation I've received, it does not provide the CI-V commands necessary for Commander to display a Spectrum-Waterfall Window, as the IC-7300 does.

After hours of digging found best configuration as IC-705 with address A4 and delay 200 ms. Everything seems to work (only slower), sometimes WSJT tune function after turning off still sends signal. Needed to turn off verifying of CI-V commands in commander.

+ Please check the X6200 entry there for accuracy.

+ You may be able to speed things up by reducing the Command Interval. See

Romas,

My information is that the Xiegu radios ignore?the CI-V address and respond?to messages sent to any address.

A4 is the default CI-V address for the IC-705. It would?be great?if you could confirm that the address set in?
Commander does not matter.

Edited

Setting address different from 0xA4 and with set "verify CI-V command acceptance" does either long delays when changing frequency or no response at all (I.e. address A3 does not work at all). When set as radio IC-705 and address A4, command interval can be set at 10ms and works flawlessly.
