DXKeeper Turned Off While Updating from LOTW
开云体育I successfully uploaded over 4,000 QSOs to LOTW last night from ARRL DX CW and before the response completed updating my log, I stupidly shut down DXKeeper.? I still have 3,809 QSOs sitting in the QSL Queue that did not complete updating the log to empty the Queue.? How do I restart the process so the Queue empties when it finishes updating the log? ? If TQSL reports that one or more of these QSO has already been uploaded to LoTW (referring to it as a "duplicate"), then on the "QSL Configuration" window's LoTW tab, check the "Permit uploading of QSOs already uploaded to LoTW" box, and then go back to the Main window's QSL tab and click the "Upload to LoTW" button again. ? ? ? 73, ? ? ? ? ? ?Dave, AA6YQ |

If they are really duplicates will he be kicked off or is it likely shutting down prevented that large number from being uploaded and he will not see many duplicates? ? How many of these can? be uploaded again? + All of them.
If they are really duplicates will he be kicked off + No. It is TQSL rejecting the "already uploaded QSOs", not LoTW.? or is it likely shutting down prevented that large number from being uploaded and he will not see many duplicates?+ Given the unfortunately shutdown, there is no way to know which QSOs were uploaded and which were not. Re-uploading them all is the only way to ensure that all are uploaded. ? ? ?73, ? ? ? ? ? ? ?Dave, AA6YQ |

Actually LotW now has duplicate QSO rejection - it's + If that's now the case, then on the Main window's QSL tab, ?
1. set the "QSL Via" panel to LoTW
?
2. clear the QSL Queue
?
3. click the "Add Requested" button; this will populate the QSO Queue with all QSOs not uploaded to LoTW 4. click the "Upload to LoTW" button 5. wait 24 hours (since there was a contest this past weekend) 6. click the "Sync LoTW QSOs" button 7. click the "Sync LoTW QSLs" button 8. in the Filter panel at the bottom of the Main window's "Log QSOs" tab, click the LoTW button; do any QSOs appear in the Log Page Display? ? ? ? ?73, ? ? ? ? ? ? ?Dave, AA6YQ |

Great that TAL is doing that but how many can it handle and for how long? Surely TQSL does not have a database of everything you ever uploaded??+ That's exactly what TQSL does. We implemented this in 2013; it cut the number of QSOs submitted to LoTW? in half. ?

TQSL hasn't used the word "duplicates" in some time. It's "previously uploaded QSOs" for current versions, soon to change to "previously signed". As for the Logbook limit of "repeat" QSOs, it's not 50 repeats, it's 500 as far as I know.? ?
Yes, TQSL has a database of all of the QSOs it signs.? As Dave said, this was added many years ago. 73, ? ? -Rick Rick Murphy, D. Sc., CISSP-ISSAP, K1MU/4, Annandale VA USA |
开云体育I assume that it gets that from LoTW itself ?when you install then and only adds new ones each time you successfully upload them?. If not it would be really hard to track. A very neat feature. If you switch PCs or have to do a reinstall I assume it has to get the data again. Is this documented so, where and how it works? Is this one of the reasons that you must install the credentials o the same PC from which you make the request? ? Outlook LT Gil W0MN Hierro Candente Batir de Repente 44.08226 N 92.51265 W EN34rb ? ? 开云体育If TQSL has this database, why would you ever get kicked off. You are not bothering LoTW since TQSL is not going to send up one that has already been sent and why would TQSL ever quit until it finishes what you are sending or at? least? has a MUCH higher than 50 limit. TQSL has a record of QSOs that have been signed for upload from a given computer. If you properly move to a new computer (back up TQSL and restore it on the new machine), then that QSO data is restored. If you lose that computer (Hams don't do backups, right?) then that data is lost and you start from zero. Also, you can tell TQSL to re-upload QSOs. that it thinks are already signed. This allows recovery when things go wrong, and DXKeeper has the ability to allow re-upload for cases where things don't work properly. The uninformed operators that re-upload all of their logs over and over every time they make a QSO are used to TQSL warning them about this and just click on the two warnings about re-uploads and send the log on. That 's why the repeat QSO limit is in place. If people wouldn't misbehave this wouldn't be necessary. And as stated earlier, there isn't a 50-repeat limit.? Also, no - that repeat QSO limit isn't documented anywhere. 73, ? ? -Rick
