I installed build 14271 on my laptop yesterday afternoon. All seemed well except for some nasty changes they made to the system tray. I did not try DXLab until seeing your report just now. I believe you are correct that DDE is broken again.

That's not a fair statement John. These are Insider (Preview builds) that Microsoft throws out there because they want our feedback. They are expected to contain some bugs. It's our volunteer job to find the bugs and report them. They announced that they were going to post new builds more quickly which to me implies less well tested. Build 14271 is the second new build in six days.
