Joe,
Thanks for the help, but I am having a problem with removing the password.
When I get to step 5 and enter the original password, I get the an error
message saying the certificate is expired. I checked the certificate and it
is good unitl 2012. Any suggestions.

the an error message saying the certificate is expired.
Do you get the same error when attempting to use the certificate
to sign an upload? If so, contact LotW support at ARRL. There
has been a problem of "false expirations" in some cases.
