Spot Collector has stopped working

Hi all,

My Spot Collector has stopped working. It was rolling along fine and, a few days ago, it stopped collecting spots. I get spots from 2 spot sources, both Telnet DX Clusters. When Spot Collector connects to them, I see plenty of spots coming through from them, but nothing shows in Spot Collector, even with no filters on and all bands checked.

When I enable PacketCluster spots, which I have disabled because of the volume, I get a message that says it is not connected and ¡°SC_WSJTX has reported an error; the WSJT-X spot source has been disabled¡±

I hadn¡¯t changed anything that I¡¯m aware of with it stopped working and I¡¯m stumped as to how to troubleshoot the problem.

TIA¡.Scot, K9JY

+ Is there an errorlog.txt file in your SpotCollector folder?

+ On the Configuration window's "Spot Database" tab, how many entries are shown to be present in your Spot Database?

Hi Dave,
?
There is no Errorlog.txt anywhere in the DXLab folder. I can¡¯t see how to create one, so assume it shows up when an error occurs.
?
I¡¯ve also rebooted the computer.
?
There are 0 Spot Database Entries, with 35200 deleted database entries (I deleted them as I thought the database was full). My spots per minute is currently running at 248.4. I¡¯m on default port 52000.
?
Hope that helps.
?
Thanks¡Scot, K9JY

Did you check your clock and computer time zone?

+ Correct.

+ So that I can see what's going, please do the following:

1. on SpotCollector's Configuration window's General tab, check the "Log debugging info" box

2. terminate SpotCollector

3. start SpotCollector

4. wait 15 minutes

5. on SpotCollector's Configuration window's General tab, uncheck the "Log debugging info" box

6. attach the errorlog.txt file from your SpotCollector folder to an email message, and send the message to me via

My computer clock is set to UTC. I have a program to keep time current; Time.is says clock is spot on.

I sent an error file to Dave. When I looked at it, it showed not connecting to the database. So, I'll let him look and once this is resolved, I'll post back to the reflector.

Thanks for the reply...Scot, K9JY
