CLUBLOG Never saw this before. What did I do
开云体育Dear W0MN, ? While processing your ADIF file for Club Log, the following possible problems were detected. Your log may be correct, but if necessary you can resolve these problems and create a new ADIF. If you make changes, it's recommended that on your next upload you use the option to clear your existing log, to avoid leaving prior records in Club Log. ? If you would like to discuss these problems, you can ask the volunteer team on the helpdesk for assistance. You can disable these emails from the Settings page if you prefer. ? Re: Cannot find Launcher
Thanks, Joe, for directing me to"PIN" the un-numbered edition of Launcher.exe
?
I will watch for any change, Dave.? It would be simpler to click on a Launcher icon on the START page rather than digging in File Explorer to get the Launcher to work.? But File Explorer gets us there.? Thanks.

So, far, this seems to work. There is no file "DXLab Launcher.exe". The are three files; DXLabLauncher, DXLabLauncher197, and DXLabLauncher232 that are "application" type files. Each has the rocket ship graphic. Any one of them launches Launcher. + The one to use is DXLabLauncher.exe + as it will always invoke the most recent installed version. Right clicking any one of them gave me the opportunity to "PIN" it to the START button. However. DXLabLauncher is not among the START choices. The other DCLab apps are among the START choices. A peculiarity of W11? A peculiarity of the user (me)? + No. The Launcher installer places its icon in the DXLabLauncher group, whereas all the other DXLab application installers place their icons in the "DXLab Suite" group. + I'll see if I can correct this inconsistency. 73, Dave, AA6YQ |

It has been several weeks since I was able to get on the air. DXLab Launcher said things were out of date so I did all the upgrades. DXKeeper said the database needed significant upgrade, so I had it do a backup first. It did make the backup, but says that it can't open the log file: "unable to open log database: C:\DXLab\DXKeeper\Databases\K7OJL.mdb"+ It may be that another applications has your log file open. Try closing all applications and rebooting Windows; then see if DXKeeper can start and open your log. ? ? ?73, ? ? ? ? ? ?Dave, AA6YQ |

+ AA6YQ comments below
+ DXView only attempts to open one COM port, which it uses to control an antenna rotator. Do you have an antenna rotator for DXView to control? If not, uncheck the "Enabled" and "Enabled at startup" boxes int he upper-left corner of the Configuration window's "Rotator Control" tab. ? ? ? ?73, ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Dave, AA6YQ ? |

Re: Cannot get Commander to Connect to SDR
开云体育Thanks Larry, got everything working…..also port forwarding is not necessary as I mentioned earlier…we have a solid VPN link from home to the remote site so port forwarding does nothing. ?Thanks for your help. ?I have everything running now with Smartlink good….once I changed Commander to CAT…all just started working.Mark WC3W

Re: Cannot get Commander to Connect to SDR
Mark,
?
I have no experience with simultaneous use of VPN and Smartlink, so I can't share any experience with that dual setup.? ?
?
As Dave observed, the CAT protocol does not support spotting data. If you want to have DXL Spot Collector feed and display spots on the Flex panadapter, the port forwarding method described in this DXL wiki will work:
?
Follow the directions and also set DXL Commander Radio to FLEXSIG. Confirm that the DXL Bandspread configuration is check-boxed to "Display spots on panadapter".? You can continue to use SmartSDR CAT to acquire band data with WSJTX.
?
When you set up port forwarding on your home router, the external port will be insecure by default.? One option to secure the port is to create a rule for the router's firewall to allow only the IP address or at least the subnet of the remote router to access the external port.? I believe this is a satisfactory method, which shouldn't require VPN.?

This is what you're missing by using SmartSDR CAT: + The remote approach documented by Larry KB1VFU here provides full functionality, but requires a VPN link for security: + It would be nice if Flex would provide documentation explaining how to use its??remote access product with the Flex API, which would eliminate the need for a VPN. ? ? ?73, ? ? ? ? ? ? Re: Sync LotW

I wouldn't want to disable that double-click - it's the quickest way to restore that progress bar window.?+ There is no functionality in DXKeeper that responds to a double-click in that window. The real question is why does it end up ultra-minimized down in the corner of the screen in the first place, all without me moving it or doing anything else to it?? It's not off-screen, just really tiny and jammed into the lower left corner.? Its normal position, and the position it returns to after double-clicking, is near the center of the screen.+ I suggest that you contact Microsoft Windows support. ? ? ? ?73, ? ? ? ? ? ? Dave, AA6YQ |
