Dx Lab & N1MM control same radio?
Is it possible to use DX Lab to control one (or both in my SO2R setup) radios -AND- run my N1MM+ logging program (which also accesses the same radio(s)) on the same com port at the same time? IE: Some kind of port sharing needs to happen. Until now I have not found a way to use N1MM+ and anything other software that would also access the radio as there is a com port conflict. Ultimately I want to run the rig(s) remotely over the internet using TEAMVIEWER (which I do now), do a contest or casual DXing -AND- make changes to the radio that are only available outside my logging software. Volume control, filter selection. etc. Thanks ! Mike VE9AA |

Re: UPDATE COMMANDER 12.1.5
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThis has been answered several times today by Dave whose response is below. Since you are new to the reflector you probably didn't see the previous posts. I believe it has been the correct answer in every case. Why it seems to be happening with version 12.1.5 and not with previous versions I don't know. I had no problem with it on Windows 10 running Intel's McAfee Live Safe.73, Rich - W3ZJ On 3/5/2016 12:18 PM, 'Dave AA6YQ'

Re: UPDATE COMMANDER 12.1.5
HI All.
I am just coming on the reflector for the same problem: Commander 12.1.5 blocks my win7pro pc. I have to hard-reset it as there is no way to RESTART via softkey nor Win-switchOFF, then I have to CANCEL by hand the Commander folder if I want the pc running free untill DXLAB_Launcher installs the last version of commader.... but then the pc is again blocked , nothing works : audio, lan, explorer windows are all full-screen, Progam_KILLing doesnot work. I have tried? two times and also checked the HD against file errors. Then on third try and after cancelling again the Commander folder I have taken the previous version folder from my saved True_Image copy of Win. Now the commander v12.0.8 works again. I think Dave has to trim some bad-bytes in the last commander prog. 73 Phil IC8POF |

Importing DXLab App specific fields for awards
Hello, I'm new to the group. Is there a preferred way or method for importing?VUCC?QSOs with gridline/ four corner grids that utilize the custom ? fields: App_DXKeeper_Grid2 App_DXKeeper_Grid3 App_DXKeeper_Grid4 Comments I tried bringing?these fields?in via tab delimited without much success with both the field name and screen name.? Everything else seemed pretty straightforward in the import. I also tried import view gridline by separating with commas since that is the way LOTW seems to do it without success since the field has mask for single grid/maidenhair grid. Carl KA4H |
Re: UPDATE COMMANDER 12.1.5
Thanks Dave and all for the advisory about this. I was surprised to find that the latest update to Avast, which until now had been pretty good about not having false positive detections, suddenly decided it thought that CI-V Commander.exe was "unsavory."?
Furthermore Avast did this without alerting the user in any way as to what it was doing. Avast caused a system hang each time I tried to launch the most recent release of Commander, and, reverting to the most recent previous release of Commander resulted in the same hang condition. Adding "[MyPath here]CI-V Commander.exe" to the exclusion list in Avast took care of the issue lickety-split. Many thanks again. 73 Tyler, KC2LST |
Re: Clublog Stations in SpotCollector
Dave, I suppose that the gold is to have one list of stations that have OQRS via ClubLog. ClubLog already provide that but only for DXpeditions, just login on ClubLog, on the top bar click Expeditions, that will show the latest ones, if you now go to the bottom of the page and click on Complete expeditions list....., this will show all DXpeditions on ClubLog with one column representing the presence of OQRS. If there was one list for all stations that was keep actual and could be access, would be great, but that can only be done and maintain by ClubLog. ? 73 Nuno ? OK, didn't think it was possible, but thought I would ask. The idea was
that for QSLing on our part we would know immediately if a station used Clublog for QSLing instead of going direct. Thanks Dave. 73, Bob KB4CL From: dxlab@... Right now in SpotCollector we have "color coding" if the station is LoTW, eQSL, or both. Is there any way to mark stations that Clublog? This would make them easier to spot, but I doubt you can get a database from Clublog that would need to be kept updated like the ones for LoTW and eQSL. requesting confirmation via QSL card, eQSL, or LoTW.Club Log does not confirm QSOs; it provides an electronic means of confirmation requests via Club Log.I'm not aware of a up-to-date online list of stations that accept 73, Dave, 8P9RY |
