If I wanted to write a script to determine the states I have worked, confirmed and verified on 40M after 01 January 2000, would the
script be:


filter Band='40m' and qso_begin > #2000-01-01#

report us_states <ReportsFolder>us_states_40.txt

If not, what should the script be?

Yesterday I closed DxLab, with all its components - except WW, as always via DXLab Launcher v2.1.2 Today I start Launcher v2.1.2 and get the following popup window notifications from DxKeeper v15.4.9:

attempt to open the log in C:\DXLab\DXKeeper\Databases\ON6AT.mdb failled:
Unknown database format
C:\DXlab\DXKeeper\Databases\ON6AT.mdb

By pressing OK I get the following screen:
unable to open log database: C:\DXLab\DXKeeper\Databases\ON6AT.mdb

By pressing OK again
DXKeeper screen appears, but is empty.

When I press Config, I see that everything is filled in correctly.
Can anyone advise me why this is?

New DXLabs user, starting out running DXKeeper stand alone.? I read in the help files where to set defaults for satellite modes, but when I open the Capture log window, nothing is preset.? So I have to enter satellite, mode and the TX and RX bands manually for each contact.??

1) What am I missing here?
2) Is there was way to easily change the default satellite and mode in the Capture window without editing defaults (multiple satellite passes back-to back)?

My read of the instructions is "it should just work."? I have a separate question for using LOTW, but will get to that later.

I have all the latest updates installed. I have DxKeeper set up to auto upload all new qso's to LOTW, EQSL AND CLUBLOG. When I boot up my system and make my first qso I find the auto upload to LOTW is not happening. The qso is maked with a R in the LOTW field. If I make 5 qso's each mark as R. If I go to the qsl tab and click add requested and then upload to LOTW I find that all subsequent qso's properly auto upload to LOTW from that point forward until I shut the system down and reboot. Is this a known glitch?

+ At this moment, there are no reported but uncorrected defects in DXKeeper.

+ Please do the following:

1. On the General tab of DXKeeper's Configuration window, check the "Log debugging info" box

2. Terminate DXKeeper

3. Terminate Windows

4. Boot up your system and make your first QSO

5. Wait 3 minutes

6. On the General tab of DXKeeper's Configuration window, uncheck the "Log debugging info" box

7. Attach the errorlog.txt file from your DXKeeper folder to an email message, and send the message to me via

after installing my ham programs to a newer cpu after a crash.
all is working good.
only thing I cant figure out is
in Pathfinder the Map will not load
has the dots going in circle trying.
I went into Pathfinder config
and updated the Internet Explorer Emulation using Version 11 Emulation 11 is there something I am missing do have my pass word install correct downloads info ok.. just not the map.

+ Using Internet Explorer to visit the same callsign's page in QRZ, is the map displayed?

Instead of JT-ALERT you might want to try GridTracker. It will log to Dxkeeper directly.?

Thanks for sending me your log and screen shot.

The first 3 QSOs on your list all have the same characteristics:

1. their IOTA tag is unconfirmed

2. their "QSL Sent" items are set to 'Y' (meaning "QSL card has been sent")

3. their "QSL Rcvd" items are blank (meaning "QSL card not confirmed and not requested").

It's the "QSL card not requested" status that is causing the "Add Needed" function to add these QSOs to the QSL Queue.

If you have in fact requested confirmations for these QSOs, then set their "QSL Rcvd" items to 'R'.

I do have Norton running.? That is why I was surprised that Windows defender got involved.??

I had issues that 3 of the DXLab's programs not starting after a Windows upgrade and per Dave's advice, I booted into Safe mode.? I launched the three programs in Safe and I had to click through a Windows Defender warning to start the programs.? At the time Windows Defender was not my selected AV software, but still it seemed to be in play during the upgrade. And that is why I'm going to go to the effort to exclude DXLabs in Defender even though it isn't selected.
