We use an alternative AV here as well and WIndows-10 Pro did no turn Defender back on at the last update? It has popped up a few "NAG" notices about turning Windows Firewall back on? but did not override my current settings.

When I run the Add Needed for IOTA award DXK populates 14 QSO's into the QSL queue. Seven of these QSO's are OK ( no QSL yet sent or received and it is for an IOTA I need) but 6 of them are for QSO that I have already sent and request a QSL card (just waiting for the return card) and one for a QSO that the QSL card has been received already. + To what is the "QSL Rcvd" item set in each of the 6 QSOs for which you've already requested a confirmation, and in the 1 QSO whose confirmation you have received? 73, Dave, AA6YQ |

Having Trouble with DXK QSL Tab Add Needed Function

I've looked over these QSO's and read through the help files and can't figure out why this is happening. From what I understand from the help file is that DXK should not be adding QSO's to the queue that have had cards already sent.? What am I confused about or doing wrong?

I been having trouble with commander loosing control of my radios and sent an email earlier about it. + Please point me at your previous post here so I can have the full context. At that that time I checked all ports to make sure they would not turn off automatically and set Windows Defender (the only anti-virus program on my computer) to accept the DXLabs folder as well as all the individual folders within the main folder. After doing some checking around, I have found that Commander 1426 works without a glitch. All versions after that produce the connection loss problem. Commander versions 1431 and up will loose contact after 1/2 hour or there abouts. Last week when Version 1455 became available I installed it and upon running it discovered it looses contact every 5 minutes. I'm happily running 1431 but am curious why later versions are causing the problem. My radios are Yaesu FT-2000 and Ft-847 and my computer is a 6 month old intel i5 with Windows 10Pro.. + Please do the following: 1. start Commander 14.5.5 2. on the Configuration window's General tab, check the "Log debugging info" box 3. wait until Commander stops tracking the radio's frequency changes 4. on the Configuration window's General tab, uncheck the "Log debugging info" box 5. attach the errorlog.txt file to an email message, and send the message to me via aa6yq (at) ambersoft.com 73, Dave, AA6YQ |

Re: My Defender past 3 days
IMPORTANT WARNING!!! I am neither a computer nor a cyber-security expert. I offer this information as a "good faith" attempt to help people who do not seem to understand how to work with Windows Defender. I am merely sharing what I have done and has worked for me. While believed to be correct, this advice comes with no guarantees of any kind. You alone remain responsible for the security of information on your computer system, as well as the continuing proper operation of your equipment. The following info explains how to do two things in Windows Defender: 1. Get a file out of quarantine 2. Set up Exclusions for DXLab Suites (or any program) so they don't get quarantined (again) Doing #2 assumes some risk as has been discussed to death on this list. But it should stop DXL programs from being quarantined. Doing #1 gets your file out of quarantine, if you had not already done #2, or chose not to do #2 and as a result, will? have to repeatedly do #1 every time a new update comes out. What follows here is a link to the text file which explains step by step how to do #1 and #2 above. It is taking you to my Google Drive and giving you permission to download it.? If you are worried that it might contain something bad, don't download it! If you don't understand the instructions or can't get them to work, I cannot help you. They work for me, and I don't want to be inundated with "how do I" , "how come", "why does it",? etc... For those whom it can help as it stands, feel free to use it. For those who cannot, look for a better source. 73, N0AN Hasan On Mon, Apr 13, 2020 at 9:49 AM Pete N4KW <n4kwpete@...> wrote: Apr 3 no Commander, but after reading Joe's instructions I was able to |
