Re: PRINTER RECOMMENDATIONS (Related OT Question)
开云体育The rule is as Iain pointed out - I had a conversation with someone about 6 months ago at ARRL HQ about it. I have gotten a rare occasional card for a US station that was not for my DX calls however. Probably just slipped through.73, Larry? W6NWS On 2/27/2016 12:35 PM, 'Dave AA6YQ'

Re: Tracking most recent eQSL dates in DXK with multiple profiles
开云体育Nicknames are a way for eQSL to distinguish between two accounts with the same callsign. You will need that if you ever move to a new location and keep the same call. This can also be important if a call is ever or was ever issued to a different person. For example my call once belonged to a person named Ed who lived somewhere in PA. It was reissued to me in 1999. My old call, N2RD, now belongs to a person in New York.73, Rich - W3ZJ On 2/27/2016 4:16 PM, 'Dave AA6YQ'

Re: Tracking most recent eQSL dates in DXK with multiple profiles
开云体育Dave – ? Double-clicking the date under the sync button is functionality I wasn’t previously aware of.? It’s sufficient for my needs…and I would venture a guess that there aren’t enough folks who need more than that to justify additional development.? Thank-you. ? As to your other questions/comments: ? Re nicknames – your updated understanding matches mine, but I should disclose I haven’t yet had a real need to explore eQSL’s nickname functionality (although that day is coming) ? Re dealing with “late uploader” and number of folks with a possible need beyond that – you are correct in that the scenario I described is to deal with late uploads.? I could see someone (or a club) who regularly has multiple portable operations, requiring multiple portable indicators (e.g. W1AW portable operations during the Centennial year) as having a bigger challenge. However, I’m not certain how many eQSL users have such complex needs, much less how many of them use DXK. This complexity seems to be a shortcoming of eQSL’s. ? --

Re: PRINTER RECOMMENDATIONS (Related OT Question)
From the FAQ at :
"Question: Can I QSL US Amateurs through the Bureau system? Answer: No you cannot send cards to other US hams through the Bureau UNLESS you or the other station was DX at the time and your QSL card indicates this. (ex. you make a contact with XE/K1TLK or you are in Mexico and your QSL card indicates that is where you were at the time of the contact.) Note: DX means anything outside the 48 contiguous states, which means you can send cards for Alaskan and Hawaiian calls as well as those for US territories or military bases through the outgoing bureau. (The prefixes for these areas are as follows: All AL, KL, NL, WL, AH, KH, NH, WH, KP, NP, WP calls as wells as KG4x2 calls (ex. KG2SV), KA6x2 calls and KA2x2 calls.) Please refer to the "Countries Not Served" list on the Outgoing QSL Service information sheet because there are a few US territories we can not forward to." So it'd be OK for 8P9RY, but not AA6YQ. 73, ~iain / N6ML On Sat, Feb 27, 2016 at 9:21 AM, 'Dave AA6YQ' aa6yq@... [dxlab] <dxlab@...> wrote: AA6YQ comments below |

Flex and commander
FireBrick
开云体育I read you emails, and would like to offer to help.I have a flex6500, and have full control of the radio via Commander. I also use DDUt which helps with the com ports used. Right now I'm operating WSJT-x which is on one monitor. Commander-DXView-SpotCollector-Pathfinder-Propview-DXView are also displayed. I can click on any spot in SpotCollector and the rig will qsy to that frequency, and the rig will change to the correct mode and filter size. I no longer have an amp, but when I did, a cluster spot activated qsy would automatically change the Quadra amp to the correct band. But let's try one step at a time. Here is a screen shot of my current operating conditions This should give you a starting point, to check that you have the rig's IP addy correct And here is my Commander Config settings. The main part to check is the Radio settings. Make sure your radios SN and other data are correct for your computer. It must be something simple as rig control via DXLabs and other software is totally successful and rarely does anyone have a 'connection' problem with any of the other logging programs or contesting programs. good luck Bill, W9OL -- In beautiful downtown Harwood Hts.
