Grin, Dave, I actually?copied "Commander's smeeter folder"? from that page and paragraph, but it just did not click for me.? I was fixed on finding it in the config file...sigh!+ There are two quick ways to search for information. 1. To quickly search all of a DXLab application's Reference Documentation, download its PDF from the "Searchable & Printable English Reference Documentation" column of this table: To initiate the search, open the downloaded file, and depress the CTRL key while clicking the f key. Mike K9UW updates these PDF files immediately after every application update, so they are always accurate and complete. 2. To quickly search all of the DXLab goal-oriented documentation and step-by-step instructions, navigate to To initiate the search, depress the CTRL key while clicking the f key. + When I point out the documentation that answers a question posted here, the intent is not a rebuke. The intent is to show you where the answer you seek is located so that you'll be able to use the documentation more effectively next time, rather than have to post here and wait for an answer. + When you can't find the answer you seek, posting here is exactly the right step to take. All questions are welcome here, no matter how many times they may have previously been asked and answered, or how obvious the answers might be in the documentation. ? ? ? ? 73, ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? To bring a hidden or off-screen window back to your main desktop, you can use keyboard shortcuts or taskbar options.?Right-click on the taskbar and select "Cascade windows" or "Show windows stacked" to arrange open windows, including the hidden one.?Alternatively, use Alt+Tab to cycle through open windows until the hidden one is active, then use Shift+Right-click on its taskbar icon and select "Move" to reposition it using arrow keys, |

DXView main window not visible any more
Hi,
?
usually, my DXView (4.9.8) main window starts minimized, only the World Map window is on
the screen.
?
Today I tried to maximize the main window, clicked on it in the tastbar, but it didn't appear on the
screen. I couldn't find a solution to let it appear. Uninstall and re-install didn't help as well, same
behaviour as before.
?
As I have no access to the DXView main window, I cannot pass an error log. I also have no access
to the World Map window any more, because I terminated it during trouble-shooting and would
need the main window to?let it re-appear.
?
I only was able to save DXViews application settings in the workspace, see below.
?
Any idea what I can do?

Re: SpotCollector keeps going into yellow status
+ AA6YQ comments below
Spot database entries is 454000+ That's the problem. If you're using SpotCollector to identify activity patterns of needed DX stations as well as propagation openings from your QTH to those needed stations, then on the Configuration window's "Spot Database" tab configure the "Size Control Panel to prune the Spot Database hourly to a maximum size of 30,000 entries. If you're instead using SpotCollector only to identify active stations with whom a logged QSO would advance your progress towards the awards or personal objectives you are pursuing, configure the "Size Control Panel to prune the Spot Database hourly to a maximum size of 1,000 entries + Take care to not pre-filter spots based on their source, as doing so could deny you an early opportunity to work a needed station. Use the Band filter to hide low-band Spot Database Entries during your daylight. ? ? ? 73, ? ? ? ? ? ? Dave, AA6YQ |
Re: SpotCollector keeps going into yellow status
I made some of the changes W4TV suggested. Specifically, I turned off all spots except N6WS and enabled a bunch of pre-filter options.
?
I have not noticed the number in red after Q, however will keep an eye out.
?
Maximum separation time is set to 60.
Spot database entries is 454000
Spots per minute since 23:00 Z is 1.4

so yesterday I? 'ALLOWED'? my main computer , an I5-12400,? to go ahead with Win10 to Win 11 upgrade. Almost everything loaded up fine.. and even RAN including the DXlabs suite. When testing the backup folder, which is a RAID drive in the

Over the past few weeks I've had issues with SpotCollector turning to yellow status for my sources. Sometimes it's all 4 sources that I'm using, other times it may be 2, or just a single source. + That means the spot source has disconnected. I have been closing SpotCollector and reopening which has, temporarily, allowed me to reconnect to my sources. The yellow status seems to take place more on the weekends than during the week. Any idea what may be causing my SpotCollector to continue to go into yellow status? + In the upper left corner of SpotCollector's Main window, there's the letter Q, followed by a colon and the number of spot about to be processed. Have you seen the letter Q rendered in red font? + On the Configuration window's "Spot Database" tab, - to what is the "Combination Criteria" panel's "Maximum separation in time" option set? - in the "Size Control Panel, how many Spot Database Entries are shown as present, and what number of "Spots per minute" is displayed? 73, Dave, AA6YQ |
