Re: WSJT-X not commenting to DX Commander
HI Dave,
?
That did the job.
By way of background, ?DX Commander has not been working for several weeks. ?I finally figured out that there was a bad Windows update on 1/17. ?Once I un-installed it and did a re-installation today that solved the problem for DX Commander.?
?
This did the job for WSJT-x

I get a message on WSJT-x...Failed to connect to DX Lab Suite Commander. Connection refused. + Has this always been the case, or is this new behavior? If the latter, when did this behavior begin, and what changes did you make to your hardware or softare around that time. + On the General tab of Commander's Configuration window, click the "Net Serve" button along the right margin of the tab. In the "TCP Network Service" panel of the "Network Service" window that appears, what is specified as the Base Port? If it's not 52000, click the Default button followed by the Restart button. 73, Dave, AA6YQ |

It was new and the command interval had been 100ms.? I changed it to 50ms.
?
As I went through the settings, I realized I had set the Primary CAT Serial Port to COM4 and the Secondary CAT Serial Port to COM4.? I disabled the Secondary port and all was well.

Sorry for the false alarm but your instructions got me to the needed configuration tabs.

Re: Grid Tracker
If there's any documentation for interoperating with GridTracker, I could not locate it. The documentation page says "it's one the way", but is otherwise empty:
?
https://gridtracker.org/index.php/documentation/user-guide-wiki I scanned a video showing how to enable Grid Tracker to interoperate with WSJT-X and a logging application. This enables Grid Tracker to display the locations of the stations decoded by WSJT-X, and QSOs logged in WSJT-X to be sent to the logging application. All of that functionality an more has long been provided in DXLab, either via its direct interoperation with WSJT-X or via JTAlert.

Re: DXAtlas Enhancements
Same here, no issues. The only time I ever had a problem was when I played around with the colors in the setting menu of DX Atlas. You can get some color combinations that make the line hard to see. Using the default colors in DX Atlas work well for me.

Re: DXAtlas Enhancements

All.. is anyone aware of enhancements from DXLab / DXView to enhance DXAtlas. For example, the QSO path on DXAtlas is hard to view with a higher resolution monitor being able to adjust the color and increase path density would be nice. + No one here has ever reported difficulty with viewing the QSO path on DXView's world map using a high resolution monitor. My monitor resolution is 3840 x 2160, and I have no difficulty seeing the QSO path. Please send a screen shot illustrating what you see, attach it to an email message, and send it to me via aa6yq (at) ambersoft.com 73, Dave, AA6YQ |
Re: Tuning Flex 8600 and Commander
The frequency tuning of my Flex 8600 is very jerky. It is jerky using the Maestro knob or with SmartSDR using the mouse.
+ Has this always been the case, or is it new behavior. If the latter, when did it start, and what changes did you make to your hardware and/or software around that time? + In the "Radio" panel on the Configuration window's General tab, to what is the "Command interval" set? For my 6500, I have it set to 50 ms. 73, Dave, AA6YQ |

support Grid Tracker, it does not justify the screen space and other issues. Other than the graphics (which I find of no value), JT Alert provides alerting that is orders of magnitude more advanced and capable than GT. The only possible justification for GT is if one were using LINUX - in which case DXLab Suite and JT Alert would be non-starters. 73, ... Re: Grid Tracker
Grid Tracker is only eye-candy as far as I'm concerned, compared to the multifaceted and well supported JTAlert. I've run GT, and I uninstalled it. It is nowhere near the alert software as is JTA, but as others have said, "it looks nice". 73, N0AN Hasan On Wed, Feb 12, 2025 at 11:05?AM Ed via <wa6wgs=[email protected]> wrote:
