Re: FLDIGI

Joe,
Thanks for the help, but I am having a problem with removing the password.
When I get to step 5 and enter the original password, I get the an error
message saying the certificate is expired. I checked the certificate and it
is good unitl 2012. Any suggestions.

Information on removing a password from the LotW certificate can

Thanks. Didn't even know that the "files" section existed as I usually just
get a daily email digest. I've looked at a number of samples and will give
it a try using those as a starter.

I am trying to set up my old PK-232 in Warbler and not having much success.
The PK-232 works fine with N1MM and Logic, but I have tried every
combination of speed, parity and stop bit to little avail.

Occasionally, Warbler will talk to the PK-232, but I can't do it twice in a
row.

With my PK232, I have to type several asterisk characters into the
transmit pane so that the PK232's autobaud detection routine will work.

For various reasons, usually copy/paste, a lot of the First Names in the
Name Column have a Lower Case letter.

Usually it's how the person sent it in PSK mode.

Double-clicking a decoded name in one of WinWarbler's Receive pane
automatically converts the first letter to a capital and the rest to lower
case.

Or my too lazy to hit the Caps Key when typing.

Is there a way to designate the first letter Character in the name column to
be Upper Case?

There isn't; I've added it to the enhancement list.

Hi Dave Here is a good one

QRZ subscription works on all calls tired except one.

If I put in OD5ET and click the RST box in the DXkeeper Capture window it
goes away and doesn't come back. Application remains as "unresponsive" and
has to be stopped with task manager.

Other ODs...not problem
Name and location was filled in from my log so I changed the callsign sign
in the log and the same problem occurred ie QRZ is causing it
Any other calls I tried no problem.

Just the response to a OD5ET lookup on the QRZ data service nails DXkeeper

I should have finished the last note with the fact that this has happened
before, and clears up after some time. This time, I had to completely
close
out the dxlab suite, and start it over, and then the alarm no longer pops
up. This particular problem has popped up from time to time, but in the
last three days it happens, more often than not. Most of the time, I have
figured it was a timing thing, with the availability of the connection not
happening because something else was going on.

You can specify a network Pathname in the "Log file" panel on the Config window's Log tab, e.g.

\\XYLs_PC\C\Interloper\DXLab\DXKeeper\Databases\AA6YQ.mdb

Just be certain that a log file is never opened by more than one DXKeeper simultaneously.

Subject: [dxlab] Log on two PC's??

Hello all,

I know this has been asked before, but I can't find the email I wanted in the files.

What I would like is to be able to access my log file from another PC.
I have DXK installed (and launcher) on that PC, and for now, I have just copied the GU0SUP.MDB file to that PC. This appears to show the log OK, but I wonder if there is an automated way to achieve this?

I currently have DXK backing up to a different hard drive, but (as yet) that drive is not shared.

Also, the backup file is not named GU0SUP.MDB, but has a date appended to it.

I am sure there must be a simple way to achieve this, but I can't quite see what it is yet.

As I said, I know this has been asked before, but searching the archives brings up hundreds of emails, and I can't see the one I want.
I did try the WIKI pages, but I can't seem to navigate through that. If I try a search, I only get lost, as the "find page" seems less than useful.

Any ideas?

Re: Pathfinder 4.6.0. oddity

Its the slash in the callsign that's causing trouble. If you attempt a
lookup of

OY/DD1LD

via the QRZ.com site, it performs a lookup on DD1LD. I'll extend Pathfinder
to emulate this behavior.

Subject: [dxlab] Pathfinder 4.6.0. oddity

Dave,

I just noticed something odd with Pathfinder 4.6.0 probably related to the
changes QRZ recently implemented. Not a big problem but strange. If I type
in a callsign such as OY/DD1LD and click on the QRZ link Pathfinder displays
a page titled "Name Search Results" and displays a long list of callsigns
with OY in the address somewhere. If I go directly to the QRZ website and
do the same it shows a link to DD1LD.

PK-232

Jim

I am trying to set up my old PK-232 in Warbler and not having much success.
The PK-232 works fine with N1MM and Logic, but I have tried every combination of speed, parity and stop bit to little avail.

Occasionally, Warbler will talk to the PK-232, but I can't do it twice in a row.

Any suggestions?

( I know all about the sound card modes. My interest in RTTY is very casual)
