Hi Linda. Not yet! But I have some ideas, and I'm sure the answer
will present itself when it's supposed to. I'll let you know. Love
and peace, Gary.

Hi all,
Who is Thessalonius? I've searched encyclopedias, and I can't find
the name. Is it in the DU, and I've just forgotten?
Thanks,

Thomas, son of Acimgirl

I found some websites in google.

Seems like it's either someone's name, involved in magic, and/or a
book of the bible? (It doesn't sound familiar to me)

Yes, Arten was Thessalonius in his life with Jesus. He is written about in the Bible.

Hi son of Acimgirl. Say hi to mother of acim son for me. My
understanding (which is not extrememly elevated in this particular
instance) is that Thessalonius is another name for Thaddaeus (aka
Arten.) So I answered with that understanding, which someone seemed
to indicate to me in an e-mail was correct.
As you may recall, I'm supposed to know Arten in this lifetime
as well, so Linda was asking if I've figured out who that is yet. The

Actually, as far as I know there isn't a heck of a lot written
about Thaddaeus in the Bible either. I think one of the Gospels lists
the twelve disciples and mentions him last. He's also known as Saint
Judas of James and is now prayed to (only for the last few hundred
years) as St. Jude, the Patron Saint of impossible or desperate
causes. (Like me living in Hawaii.) I don't know if there's much more
than that. Arten says he was quiet and a good learner. He also says a
little more about him in "Disappearance," but I don't know if much
else is known historically about this mysterious, happy learner. Love
and peace, Gary.

Hi Linda, I was writing my post and you beat me to it. No hurry, but
maybe sometime you could share with us where Thessalonius (Thaddaeus)
is written about in the Bible, just so I'll know more about it.
Thanks! Love and peace, Gary.

Thanks Ossie! I'm going to call the Vatican and have them investigate
this as a miracle. We'll be in touch. Love and peace, Gary.

I was getting Thessalonius mixed up with Thaddeus. I realized it as soon as I read your e-mail. I will do a search in Strong's Concordance and also Unger's Bible Dictionary. Doubt if I'll find much. :-) Quiet learner. I liked that.

Hey Gary (and Thomas, and everybody else too, for that matter...)

This thread has piqued my "SciFi/Time-Travel/Paradox" curiosity -- and I've
always loved this area of speculation!

How would this work out; if Arten (who seems to be from - to us - our
future) was Thaddeus/Thessalonius (St. Jude) in the past (again, to our
perception, but I won't keep repeating that explanation...); but now, in our
present, he is presumably living a "human" life (let's call this version of
him, "Thessa-2K"), and Gary was told he is supposed to know him... Would
that mean that when Arten appeared to Gary here in our apparent space/time
locus, Arten was here both as Arten ("ascended master visiting from our
future") as well as Thessa-2K, contemporary human, but same "soul" (apparent
human manifestation of the small-"s" self)... (?) {whoa... I need
another cup of coffee...}

Anyhow, this is probably a really good example of why
words/symbols-of-symbols totally fail when it comes to expressing this
stuff! But I think I pretty well get it in general, about all of this "time
continuum" really having already happened, and all at once -- with no
duration at all. And how our "real Self" (the capital-"S" self) -- who is
really only One -- seems to be experiencing Itself (in a "dream") as all of
our individualized human experiences; both past, present, and future.

I am less clear, however, on how our "souls" fit into all this... and by
"souls", I guess I mean the part of me that thinks "I'm Gene", and was the
"same soul" who thought he was a sailor-man (perhaps a pirate..?) about two
hundred years ago, and who thought he (she) was a cave-woman type, long
before that.... Now I understand that ultimately, all "these lives" are
really the dream experiences of one Self; but there seem to be "soul paths"
that our individual concsiousnesses seem to follow "within" the overall
dream; how "Arten used to be Thaddeus" two thousand years ago, and in "our
present" he's Thessa-2K; and in what will be our "future", he will be Arten,
and will become Enlightened.... How Gene used to be Cave Woman (I don't
know what my name was, but I/she was quite the amazon, capable as any male,
thank you -- and very much the provider for her family)... and then that
same soul was at sea in the 18th century; and is now (as Gene) typing these
words... and who knows, maybe this "lifetime" will be the "last", in human
form....

So I've kinda drifted off (where are my nautical skills when I need
them?)... however, I certainly want to hear what everybody thinks about all
this.

But my "original" question on this topic was; if Arten "came back" here to
talk with Gary -- why did he not talk to himself (Thessa-2K) as well? I
would think (and I know I'm probably misguided here) that if I achieved
Enlightenment and "visited" a human in the past -- and if I knew a "former
lifetime" of my own was walking around, also in need of illumination -- I
think I'd really want to stop by and pass on a few words of wisdom to my
poor former Me... (This is something I'd like to do right now; shoot back
in time to my childhood, and tell Little Gene a few things that would make
the next few decades a whole lot more pleasant for him......)

If nothing else, we may come up with a great plot for next summer's
big-budget sci-fi movie blockbuster!!!

Gene
