Radio Daze Replacement C-line Dials

After seeing Steve's comments about the Radio Daze C-line dials, I took a look at his website again and totally agree that there are issues with those dials.

The most obvious error is the 1 Khz markings that are on the "100's" dial.? That's going to make for a bit of a psychedelic?experience?when tuning the radio!? The 100's dial should not have those 1 Khz marks on the outer edge.

The placement of alignment holes on some plastic gears and the tiny holes for the brass rivets may not be a dealbreaker.? The problem is that there were four dial mechanism styles during the C-line run.? Some used two rivets...some used three rivets, and the last one didn't use any rivets, (although the ones I have worked on still had the 3 holes in the dial for them).??

The point here is....given what I know at this point I cannot recommend Radio Daze C-line dials.? Maybe IF he fixed the 100's dial so it did not have the 1 Khz markings you could make do on a dial replacement, but you may have to do some judicious drilling of the plastic with a suitable, very tiny, drill bit....depending?on which version of the PTO you are working with.? Those brass rivets that hold the dials on to the plastic bits are a press fit.

Your best bet at this point may just be a harvested PTO in its entirety from a junker rig.

Caveat Emptor!
