DL7MAJ SK

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Dear Drake community,

Some of you may know Stefan, DL7MAJ, who was very knowledgeable with Drake gear, especially TR7s. In the last few years he made some very nice videos on YouTube about TR7 repair. On his website are a few very interesting articles about TR7 modifications (and other amateur radio related material).

Just today I learned that he became a silent key on January 20th, unexpectedly after a short but severe illness.

RIP Stefan

Being new to a TR7, I watched a few of his videos.
You'll be missed Stefan.

What very sad news today to learn my friend Stefan has become a Silent Key. I was a devoted fan of his YouTube channel and learned so much about troubleshooting and repairing from him. His simple workbench rotatable equipment support is replicated at my bench and it is dedicated to him for sharing his design. We would converse from time to time and I always looked forward to the notification that he had published a new video.
?
Thank you for your friendship Stefan and rest in piece.

Thank you.? Very sad.? His videos are priceless.? Such a legacy. ? I have learnt so much more about approach and method,? and the video quality was excellent.? His manner of being relaxed transmitted to me and made me enjoy working on these TR7s.

Dieter,
?
Very sad to hear this news.
?
Stefan and I shared a similar taste in radio technology. I hope that the many YouTube video, in which he documented various repair projects in his friendly, professional and patient manner, will remain as part of his legacy.
?
He will be much missed by many. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Very sad to hear about Dieter DL7MAJ becoming sk. I also watched his videos on repairing Drake TR7's and learned so much. If it wasn't for him I never would have known about using pipe cleaners for cleaning molex connectors. I also have a lazy susan on by bench after watching his videos. I will miss him very? much.
Also on another note,? I'm home from hospital and recovering after having a new problem with my ongoing heart problems.?
Will miss you? Dieter 73's Howard VE7IGA?

I don't know if this has been done or will be
but it should.
Stefan's youtube repair notes should be archived
on this site.
I will volunteer to help but I am sure we have better
people than me.
Have a good day all
