L7 Filliment Choke Core.

On my L7 I noticed that the filliment choke had a slight bow in it. After further investigation I found that the core inside broken in two almost in the center. I think it's RFC2 on the schematic. It's right beside the Filliment transformer. Is this a bad thing? Do I need to replace the core? I don't know what to replace it with.
Thanks

Yes, it is a bad thing and knowing whether it was mechanical shock or "heat" that caused the failure will guide you toward a complete remedy. ?Let's hear what the experts have to say.

It is possible to crazy glue the core back together and it will function properly.? It¡¯s been done hundreds of times.? Ferrite glues well.

Ditto the recommendation for cyanoacrylate cement. I've used it on
toroids that I wanted to get around a piece of coax without removing the
connector.

I don't know why I didn't think about gluing back together. Lord knows I've glued a bunch of toroids when making end fed half wave antennas.

It would still work even if you didn't glue it back together.? ?There is no electrical continuity to begin with.?
