Re: Looking for L75 amp meter replacement.
Rob, check on the meter face (at bottom) to see what the FS rating is. There’s still a guy on eBay selling meters that definitely work with the L7. I replaced my plate meter recently with one of these and it works great.? 73, Steve Wedge, W1ES/4 Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana. Thanks. Mine has a very low serial number, so it's probably "unsplit." :) --Kirk, NT0Z My book, "Stealth Amateur Radio," is now available from

Re: Misc parts at NC0B's QTH
开云体育Hi Joe, ? Here is what I said to an earlier question as to the parts unit.? My goal is for them to go away. ? One parts R-4C should be considered only having a case, the power transformer and a PTO.? Price would be shipping only. ? The other parts R-4C? is a 16K S/N with a case, and has been weirdly modified to switch in 3 AM filters, 3, 4 and 6 kHz, plus a 1.5 kHz that I am guessing is an SSB filter. Odd-ball knobs.? Re: L75 basic Question band markings question
开云体育You don’t have separate specific band selections in this amp. Those markings are the range over which each particular position will work well.?Thus, for example, the 40 meter position covers the range shown by the inner scale, 6.5 to 10 MHz. Gary W0DVN

L75 basic Question band markings question
Please don't laugh to my question but I see, on the band knob of my little L75 amp, apart from the basic Ham Bands, the markings 6.5, 10, 16, 24.
Those are not selectable. Are those to be enabled my some kind of factory mod? or were those markings there only as a reference of what ranges could be adjusted on the main positions by adjusting the coils? Rob YS1RS |
Looking for L75 amp meter replacement.
My L75 amp developed a problem on the meter. No longer responds.
Have checked it and the signal is reaching it. The internal circuit on the meter is simply open. Have look for replacements but no longer in production. Any suggestions where could I find one? Is this meter the same used on the L7? I don't have an L7 so no idea. Last resource would be to buy a Chinese meter and install it on an external box. :-( sad option and the last. Hate to modify equipment. Love to see things original and clean, in all its glory. Open to ideas and suggestions. Rob YS1RS |
Re: Outer Coaxial Jacket Removal for a Long Length
Thanks to all responding. ?I found the tool, a new GC brand on Ebay in Pennsylvania, not far away. ?A better understanding of what I was looking for helped much. ?As a side note, I’ve decided to use RG-11 for this seamless feed-system/antenna (vertical polarized), after calculating the power handling capability of the Belden 8279 — pret-ty small.
Take care. 73, Michael, N4KZO |
