I have done this many times to get a particular item.? You now have to bid in the last 3 seconds or someone will probably out bid you. Ebay used to make you verify your bid after entering it.? I would put in a bid and wait to "verify" with 3 seconds left.? It usually worked. Now it just enters the bid when you press the button.? I did it with 10 seconds to go and and someone outbid me at 3 seconds to go! There are also bidding services that will "snipe you with only 1 or 2 second to go.? You almost can't win there. There's others.? It's BS that people do this but I guess if you want something bad enough there's always a way. ? -- 73/RickW4XA*Every post is created using Linux |

It all happened in the final seconds. I increased my bid to $1000 with 30 seconds to go. The bid jumped up to $605 with me in the lead but just as quickly jumped to $1025. Perhaps if I had waited until there were only five seconds left, I would¡¯ve won. Oh, well¡ joe? personal account sent directly from google mail. please pardon lack of outlook features... You had over bid me by about $200 so we were in the ball park. |
Re: WTB RV-75

That was me and it was a mistake. In my haste to increase my bid to $1050, I accidentally entered $10,050. The final price means the other person had a max bid of $3500! I cancelled the bid and pissed off the seller in the process. So, I also remain in search of an RV75. I imagine the others will be relisted¡ joe K4JNG personal account sent directly from google mail. please pardon lack of outlook features... Final bid $3550. That is amazing. Will still keep looking, but will not pay that much for an RV-75. |
Re: R-4B AGC Issues, Part Trois
David,
I am thankful you are able, in your present condition, to communicate. ?Hear the encouragement that the LORD has given us. ?Here is eternal power: The counsel of the LORD stands for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations. ?Psalm 33.11 For whatever was written of old was written for our learning, that we through patience, and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. ?Romans 14.5.?[The word ¡°might¡± does not confer a random variable. ?Here, might is the noun perfect tense of ¡°may.¡± ?Recall perfect tense definition as applied to grammar, expresses an action of being perfectly past or finished, often that which is just past or compete, but without a specification of time. ?Hope is the certainty of the Truth, the Word. ?Another way to accurately read this verse is, ¡°Although not being given a specific time interval, we have absolute certainty that the promises of the Almighty are sure (faithful); His providential care gives us comfort to wait upon Him for completion or deliverance with respect to the needs.¡± God has said this once; twice have I heard this; that power belongs unto God. ?Also unto Thee, O LORD, belongs mercy; for Thou renderest [gives up; surrenders] to every man according to his work. ?Psalm 62.11-12 O LORD, Thou wilt give us peace; for Thou also has wrought?[effected; performed; produced]?all our works for us. ?Isaiah 26.12 Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His Holy name. ?Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. ?Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle¡¯s. ?The LORD executes righteousness and judgement for all that are oppressed. ?Psalm 103.1-6 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that reverence Him, and His righteousness to children¡¯s children. ?Psalm 103.17 The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold; but the LORD tries the heart. ?Proverbs 17.3 In summary, this is the Word from Holy God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Therefore, being justified by faith, let us have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; through Him we have been brought by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and are proud in the hope of this glory of God. ?And not only so, but we also glory in our tribulations; knowing that tribulation perfects patience in us; and patience, experience; and experience, hope; and hope causes no one to be ashamed; because the love of God is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given to us. ?Romans 5.1-5 Whoever believes in Me, just as the Scriptures have said, the rivers of living water shall flow from within him. ?He said this concerning the Sprit, which they who believe in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given because Jesus was not yet glorified. ?John 7.38-39 ? God has made it so, by the raw and refined materials given to us, and by the knowledge of His Creation (physical phenomena and mathematics), to glorify Him with world wide communications; He made the ionosphere. ?Rest well. ?Your work awaits, you. Grace and peace to you on this Good Day; 73, Michael, N4KZO |

Well first of all I see that God has blessed you with patience and empathy.? Thank you.? Thank you. ? I Am writing to you from the hospital.? I came in to the ER Friday.? I have internal bleeding and have had 2 surgeries so far.? Seems age and time have caught up for me. I will continue to do help for people that need it.? Of the projects on the bench several are for others.? I do not charge for this as I enjoy the fix pursuit and help folks out.?? That there are fellow hams out there as you further encourages me to continue. I do not know what the future has for me but as I already have what my family needs then the rest is for those who need it more . Blessings to you, Michael and thank you for a bright point in an otherwise bleak time.? When i am out I will hold you up in my daily mass. Ham radio is not a solitary endeavor.? ?You have just proven this in a unique and gentle way.
