Re: TR-4C audio hum
There's your clue. 80 and 20 do not use heterodyne premix crystals. Look around the pre mix / het osc V1 and the crystals. Check grounds, look for excessive ripple on the B+. 73 -Jim NU0C "Cowan

Re: Wanted - Drake TR-4C S-meter
Doug, all the TR-3/TR-4 meters are interchangeable. Be aware that some of them have a problem with damping (frequently called ¡°bouncy¡± or ¡°bouncing¡±). Ask before you buy. 73, Steve Wedge,

Hi Gary, I have the Drake C-line twins as well as a Drake FS-4 synthesizer. The FS-4 is as stable as a rock regardless of temperature swings, so I know that Drake had the ability to build driftless

Re: MN2000
Well, ended up picking up a Ten-Tec 4229 tuner at the hamfest today. Like Jim said in another post, functionality. It's a 2KW roller inductor tuner so hopefully the Drake will be on the air soon.
