Try some of the stuff you line tool boxes with to keep the tools from moving around. and or the stuff cabinet makers use to hold wood on the worktable for sanding mike wb8vge

Vibroplex sells feet for their keys. There's no reason why they wouldn't work on other brands. I replaced the feet on my Standard Iambic a few years ago and it has been fine. I've had that key since

I also use a large ¡°cattle-prod¡± iron. Clip the wires at the tabs. Don¡¯t bother trying to desolder the leads. If you can get the can so that it can have just one attachment, you can move it back

I just dug out my Simpson 260 VOM that has been in storage for the past 25 years. It has 5 DC volt ranges: 2.5V which has an input impedance of 50 K¦¸ 10V which has an input impedance of 200 K¦¸ 50V

With many of the components of the older gear specked at 10 % and the older meters close to 5 % then? if your measurement is within 10 % or so I do not worry about that part of the equipment.? ?
