Now that I have the AC4 rebuilt, I moved on to the T4XC. The transmitter was given to me probably 7 years ago by a now SK ham and has been stored by me since then. Probably not operated in over 10

Decades ago on a mobile trip from CO to ME my TR-7 quit transmitting. I was in Ohio so Drake replaced the driver board. I think there was a significant upgrade to the replacement board. Rob, NC0B

I suspect the difference is largely cosmetic. Drake started using boards with solder mask in later years. These will have a green coloring while earlier boards are bare tinned copper. A surf of eBay

I'll second Doug's experience. I used the same kit on a rebuild I did about 6 months ago. Modification / modernization came out fine as did Doug's. Instructions were clear. 73/jeff/ac0c
