FT 1500 with DINAH

Hi All,
Anybody use a ft1500 with dinah and hamvoip? Here trying to figure what is going on
Setup all and I can dial in tot hat node and the audio gets out to the radio fine, but using a handy to get to radio and then node that fails. it just triggers a keyup on the other end.
No audio passes from rf to node.

Any body have any advice I am all ears.?
This has to be a setting I am missing

Regards,
Frans

Make sure you have CTCSS setup correctly on your FT1500 to match your HT settings.

Select "V" in simpleusb-tune-menu (Item 12 of the Admin menu) to verify you have COS set correctly.? Make sure CTCSSFROM Mode is "no" ( "L"? in simpleusb-tune-menu)

Select "2" in simpleusb-tune-menu to check/adjust RX voice level.

Possible cause of no audio: On the DINAH mini-DIN connector, pin 6 is for Carrier Operated Squelch (COS), which goes to pin 48 (VOLDN) on the CM119 chip. The Allstar software driver uses COS, but most other digital modes drivers do not, and each time pin 6 goes low the volume goes down a bit more, until it is none. So sever the JP3 jumper on the DINAH board if not running Allstar. See the schematic on page 14 of the construction manual??

Hi All

Thank you for the info.I will cetainly keep those in mind also
However, the operator had a kenwood tmv71a so I had him connect that up instead and was getting the same issue
So I remoted into his sstem and after a bit of checking we spotted he had typo'd his callsign when he did setup
So all worked but fo rthe fact that he was not proprly registered on allstar so no audio was sent out.
Resolved the callsign in the relevant spots in the files and voila all is working with the kenwood radio.?

This afternoon after work we will be testing it back with the Ft1500 and I am hoping it works?

I like the DINAH it just works, I have a couple here running and not an issue at all.

A good and safe day to all

Frans is so right.. I was the unlucky operator. And through the help of Frans, we fixed that simple but seemingly perplexing issue. It works on both radios flawlessly.? And as he said, the Dinah just works.. I have absolutely no intention of messing with it. Just place it in a corner and leave it alone...
