DINAH-C not recognized by computer

My new DINAH-C (assembled from kit) is not seen by Windows computer (connected with USB-C to USB-A cable) or by Mac (connected with Apple USB-C to USB-C cable). Am I missing something obvious?

If you plug it into a PC, it should show up as a USB audio device under Sound, video and game controllers using a windows driver.? However, it is not intended to be plugged into a PC.? Normally , it is plugged into a Raspberry Pi and controlled by the HamVOIP or ASL3 Allstar image.? It can also be used for DireWolf (still using a Pi).

Connected to a Mac, it should appear in System Information under Hardware > USB as "USB Audio Device", where you should see information about the C-Media chip. That's what I see?on my?MacBook Air running Ventura.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, it does not appear under Hardware > USB when connected to my MacBook Pro with Apple USB-C to USB-C cable. The only entries are USB 3.0 Bus and USB 3.1 Bus. Under Thunderbolt/USB 4 there are two ports listed, both of which show ¡°no device connected.¡± I have a couple of local resources and I will check in with them tomorrow.
