COMPREHENSIVE LIST OF COMPATIBLE RADIOS?

Hi.

My subject line says it…

?

Is there a list somewhere of known compatible transceivers, new or used, which are known to work with the Dinah?

?

By “work with”, I mean without modifying the Dinah.

?

To ask it another way. My Dinah is plug-and-play with my Kenwood TMV-71A. What other radios are the same?

There probably are others.? Please let us know if you are aware of one.

Also, the Yaesu CT-175 can also be used with Yeasu radios like the FTM-400 to convert the 10 pin miniDIN to a 6 pin miniDIN for use with DINAH.

I have wired it to the IC-9700 and IC-7300 through the ACC jacks.

Also I have some interfaced to a Yaesu DR-1X and a Motorola MTR3000 through the DB25 J7.

(some connector soldering required to make the cables)

?

And OH that mini-din adapter is cool.

So far in our?testing we are finding that the DINAH is compatible with any. radio which has the 6 pin mini-din "data" connector (or equivalent such as the DR0135T).? In most cases we find that these radios also work with the same sound volume?settings.

In the Simpleusb-tune-menu
RX boost is enabled
Echo is disabled
Pre and De emphasis both disabled
PLfilter is disabled
DCSfilter is disabled
PTT mode is LOW
COSFROM is USB
CTCSSFROM is NO
RXONDELAY is 0
RXAUDIODELAY is 0

Let me know if you need anything else.? It seems to work fine with most radios.? I can't get this setup to recognize 3, 6, 9 DTMF from my Baofengs or my TYT radios.? Still haven't figured that one out but all my other radios DTMF is recognized.
 

Problem I found with the G707 radio, is that the supplied Cable that came with the Dinah can't fit into that recessed port on front of radio. Have to resort to trying another radio with a rear din port.

The Kenwood V7 also has a round hole on the front panel so the supplied cabel will not fit,? I used an exacto knife to very carefully shave off the excess molded? "bulge" to round out the overmold so it would fit.
 

The G707 and the V7 have recessed 6 pin mini din. I had to do as? suggested and shave the hub of the connector on the cable a bit for a different application? for using a V7 .
