Do I need 10,000 steps every day for my health?

Exercise plays a predominant role in lifestyle medicine. New studies show that although taking 10,000 steps a day is great, it¡¯s making sure to have 7,000 steps daily that makes the biggest difference.

7,000 steps - reduces the chance of early mortality by 50%.

9,000 steps - reduces that likelihood of early mortality by 70%.

To get the benefit from aerobic exercise, we also don¡¯t have to exercise in large amounts of time (30 -90 min.) at once. You can work your aerobic exercise into your day in 10-15 min. sessions and let it accumulate.
