REF012 supported by PAPA system

wally_lamma N7TWW All Messages By This Member #95 Recently we had a guest on the system trying to connect to REF012 via the w7mot repeaters and the KE7JFH repeaters.? I checked the hardware on our side and everything was fuctional.? So I sent a email on to the PAPA system admins.? This is the response from there technical support team. ? Chris, I was informed that we no longer accept connections from outside gateways. We had too many connections that were not managed and we ended up with nets from other groups coming across our repeaters as well as drive-time traffic from other parts of the US. We do allow MMDVM connections, but that is all at this time. I'm sorry I don't have better news. ?
Rick Gruber All Messages By This Member #96 开云体育 As a minimal repeater user, I often ask the question about internet connected repeaters and gateways for D-star and Fusion and DMR.? Why have it if you don't want people to use it??? I have a Fusion node at my home that I leave on all the time for myself and my friends to use. (At the moment my tower is down but it will be back up this weekend) Unlike Fusion repeater owners I don't block the busy rooms or those with nets. I feel that when people hear the traffic they will want to get involved more often and try out their rigs on the digital formats.? Just my 2 cents.? Thanks for listening if you did.... Rick Gruber?
