Re: Centos7 ... end of life

Out of 319 active G3 gateways only 21 have converted to the new Alma code and
?2.2q? ? ?Linux version 5.14.0-427.20.1.el9_4.x86_64 (64)

Re: Centos7 ... end of life

Agree with the Lamma...?

Wouldn't it be nice if we had a software environment simulator based on Alma and including each of the icom packages, gateway, controller, and repeaters, to be interchanged for comparability & config .... Then simulate interactive features between systems such as linking..

Just thinking ... aa7oo Norm

You need to get a new gateway release from ICOM then get a copy of the new ALMA code/linux and follow the directions.? I’m not planning on changing any of my system/s until the fall , after others figure out all the new bugs.. At this point in the yum releases there will not be any new features you should need and if there was an exploit somebody would have found it already.? Keep your system locked down except for ports needed for the mission and don’t load a bunch of un-needed crap on your server.

MAtt, THANK YOU for the update.? I do now see the REF009 users showing up on the DSTARUSERS.ORG last heard list.
I am wondering what brand of MW xcvr you are using for the interconnect?

ref009 has been updated and rebooted. K7TUS is running in standalone until I replace the 11GHz uplink to the Internet.

None of the users connected to ref009 ever show up on the
DSTARUSERS.ORG last heard page.

Also I haven't been able to see the last heard list for any of the
K7TUS repeaters for some time I suspect that one or more of the server
processes are stopped or possibly IP blocked to the outside world.

5/29/2024
These 3 sites are no longer available via this method.? The two RST sites no omg operate with that call.? One is gone the other is K7TUS but the server needs reloading to get all of the ID and last heard stuff working correctly.? The K7NAZ system is no longer a pure ICOM system so it doesn't provide the same data as a true ICOM gateway system would.

ATTENTION Registering for D-Star

Mark Krotz

Going forward, it has been decided that new registrations for KE7JFH D-Star (ie, Usery and Pinal) should go through REGIST.

There are several reasons for this, one of which is the unreliability of notifications of a new registration pending with G3 Gateway Software.

To register with REGIST go to -? ?

Here is a tutorial-??

Depending on the browser you may get a notification that site is unsecure, if you get this message accept the risk and the page should be displayed.? Another way to get info related tot he repeater stack is to go to this web location for KE7JFH.? IF you change the call letters to the repeater you want to view you can see the same info for another system.? ALSO the call MUST be in CAPS

Bob,

Before trying to relink, The repeater. Talk to some folks on it. You want to talk to someone through the reflector to make sure everything is set up correctly. Then you can try relinking. But get on and use the system. Once you are sure everything is set up, I can help you the how to’s.?

Thanks

I pass the "echo" test on the local Mesa and Globe gateways but I have yet to talk to anyone. I am hesitant to link to another site or even a reflector because I am not sure what the protocols are.
