The above is a drawer mount modification of a GRE PSR-600.?? You simply mount the radio inside a drawer and then slide the drawer open to view or operate it.?? I use these in all sorts of locations.?? Love them.??? There are essentially no electronic modifications in terms of circuitry.??? The front panel has been rotated ninety degrees to allow this function.?? Works great.?? I have several of these for sale.?? MY LOW Price is $150 shipped as above indicated.

Version is a tilt head EMC hardened design.?? It was made from a Radio Shack marketed GRE.? It was called the Radio Shack PRO-2096.?? We were experimenting with shielding here.?? This radio was designed for installation in an enclosed driver’s door lower storage area (It had a lid like a glove box in the door thus the head tilt for enhanced visibility.?? It also has the refinished flat black face and the white knob indicator lines have been added.??? MY price is $119.00

Above is a version built specifically for in driver’s door mounting.?? It was fabricated from a Radio Shack PRO-2055.?? The front panel has been tilted toward the driver for maximum visibility.? The housing of the radio has been rustically hand stitched in Napa leather (black).?? The leather completely encases the radio.?? The front panel has been removed and refinished in flat black.?? This radio was designed specifically for the Porsche Cayenne but will mount and work easily in any vehicle that has a door with a storage tray at its base.?? My low price is $126.00

This design is a completely remote control head for the PSR-600.? It allows remote mounting of the radio chassis and “Heads up mounting of the control head in the windshield.?? I like to place the control head at the top of the windshield just behind the rear view mirror staggered slightly to the side to enhance complete visibility.? This allows the driver to not remove his attention from the road while reading the alphanumeric display.?? This requires a custom made flat flexible ribbon cable in addition to other wiring.?? There are two harnesses.?? I have three of these radios currently available.? One has a flat black refinished control head to match high end interiors.?? The rear cabinet fabricated for the control head of the “Black Head” radio is also rustically clad in hand sewn Napa leather.?? It was designed for installation in Mercedes G Wagons.?? There are several custom components in this design.?? The design works well and has long term testing.?? It is however a prototype and not a robust hardened consumer device.???
