IP camera over ID-1?

 

I was looking at a system diagram pic on the ICOM site:

or go to:


In the upper right of that diagram, they show an IP camera feeding directly
into an ID-1.?? Has anyone tried that????

The ID-1 protocol is half duplex at around 80 kilobits so supports streaming anything very poorly.? We tried basic SIP phones that was not good.?

It does fine for basic web type data entry apps, messages, etc.? TCP, that could allow retransmission is a plus.?

It could maybe support a minimalist slow scan at the lowest possible resolution.?
