Hello fellow Hams Mike Romanello KL7BK, I own the "WL7CWI" system here in Wasilla, Alaska just north of Anchorage. I'll be getting the 23cm system on the air today Sunday the 2nd of Dec and I'm itching to see how it works. the cans for both the 1.2 and the 440 are sitting in the shop just need to cut the jumpers and we are on the air.

Hope to hear from you.

Out standing on the 21 mile Contact, As of now the Antenna is mounted on a tripod that is sitting on the ground Guess it will have to wait until summer to get it on the tower but I can still play with the band never the less.
hope to hear you on the air some time.

I can routinely reach a 1.2 repeater 65 miles away, usually with 1 watt and only my 5' outside antenna. My antenna is only at the height of my roof, and I understand the 1.2 antenna is on the roof of the building on a 2600' hill. I don't believe it's quite line-of site to me as another ridge is between us. Don't give up too quickly...

Boy I guess that would help lol
I'll have the Antenna about 100 asl this summer but it will have to do for now until the snow is gone and I can get on the roof of the shop to install it
hope things are treating you well in FL
