Re: Help FOR DSTAR DD
Gerry, I'm assuming that you are referring to blocking access from Source addresses. Because, of course, routing 10. Out the router ain't going anywhere. If you block "EXCEPT 10.0.0.0/8" then aren't

Re: Help FOR DSTAR DD - UPDATE
A little correction, you do still need to configure NAT for 10.0.0.2/32 (or maybe /31), since the gateway (at 10.0.0.2) still needs to talk to the Internet, for D-STAR routing to other gateways. If I

Re: Help FOR DSTAR DD
It's really much simpler than this, just make sure you do not provide NAT service from 10.x.x.x to the Internet. NAT takes the 10.x.x.x address and replaces it with the WAN IP address in your router

Automatic Reply Function?
Does the ID-1 have an Automatic Reply Function like the 2820? If a station specifies my call sign, my ID-1 is set automatically to reply to that call sign? Looking at the manual it appears to be

Re: New file uploaded to D-STAR_23cm
Thanks for posting Mark. Looking at this file on Page 6 of 23 I do not agree on the DHCP comment. It DHCP appears to be passed just timing is perhaps somewhat messed up. At the Marine Corps Marathon

Re: RP-2D & ID-1 Sensitivity in DD mode
The width of the signal has a huge impact on the distance. A 10w CW vs PSK vs FM vs DD vs TV signal have hugged differences in coverage. Why else do you think that TV stations run megawatts? BUT, the

100W @ 23cm? Maybe try 10W. But indeed turnaround is going to be a big issue. Sent: Sunday, January 09, 2011 3:32 PM To: D-STAR_23cm@... Subject: Re: [D-STAR_23cm] Re:RP-2D & ID-1

Re: RP-2D & ID-1 Sensitivity in DD mode
At a recent D-STAR forum someone in the audience contended the sensitivity of the RP-2D was poor and that is why DD range is 2/3 of DV. I didn't ask them how they knew this, but I did mention that DD
