Re: ID-1 on 32 bit Windows 7

开云体育Can you be more specific as to which driver is giving you the error?? Also when you installed the drivers had you plugged in the ID-1 to the USB port first?? I have the ID-1 running on win7 32 bit in my shack and since I cannot recall exactly what I did to get it running I believe it was a straight forward install with the exception of accepting the serial ó USB driver as no WORL compliant for Win7 ? ID-1 on 32 bit Windows 7
beamar
A few years ago, I bought a 32 bit netbook, running Windows 7. I successfully installed the ID-1 software on it. There was some extra step that I had to take, to get the software to run. I cannot remember what it was or where I found the information.? I recently had problems with my 32 bit Vista laptop. I put Windows 7 on it. The ID-1 software will not run. There is a driver problem. There is a lot of information on-line about 64 bit Windows 7 and the ID-1. But, I cannot seem to find anything about 32 bit Windows 7. Can someone point me in the right direction? -- Buddy WB4OMG |

John,Thanks John, Doh!, I never thought of doing it that way. Anyway, a question, in you guys (the list) experience, what additional loss does tree cover give.? Any rules of thumb. The reason I ask is that the road from Tramore to Waterford (which is quite weak in the plot) is actually lined with trees at both sides.? Regards John EI7IG |

Hi Folks,I created a radio mobile online coverage map for one DD AP here. ItI'm looking for pointers on generating coverage plots for DD-Mode.The quick answer is that you need 13 db more signal for DD, than DV. I finally got a chance to get back to this. So given my Antenna Gain/Coax Loss figures, I went for 40 Watts ERP and picked -100 dBm as my threshold (1.58uV + 3dB). Obviously local factors such as tree's etc aren't taken into effect. However, based on actual testing in-the-field at a few 'edge' locations, it seems to be pretty good. I've the output from splat available at if anyone wants to take a look with google earth Regards John EI7IG |

开云体育I myself am curious about this.?? I also have a message programmed in my ID-1, and I have never been able to seem to get it to come through—although several years ago, I *thought* I saw my message come through, but haven’t been able to do it since. 开云体育Make sure you have selected the message and enabled it.? I missed that for about 3 months and spent many days head banging on the desk till I found it.? Easiest if you use the software rather than the radio head to set it up.? Short answer is yes I have one on my ID-1 and it transmits each and every time ? Kerry VE6KGA ? From: D-STAR_23cm@... 开云体育Has anyone EVER seen a (20-character) message string from an Icom ID-1 get transmitted to a repeater???I have my ID-1 programmed to send a 20-character message with each transmission.? Yet, when I key up the only local 23cm D-Star repeater I can hit (K7LWH/A), the message never gets through.? Looking at the history on that repeater, apparently no one else can send a message from an ID-1 either.? However, John Hays gets a message transmitted to K7LWH/A when sending from his Icom 9100, so it doesn't appear that this is a repeater problem.? See: Icom ID-1 firmware bug, or am doing something wrong??? |
