This tutorial assumes you know how to use?most?of the basic menu tools and functions in Paint Shop Pro.

This?tutorial was written using PSP?version #12 (PSPX2). It will work in other versions of PSP.

Required Supplies:

Paint Shop Pro ()

Incredimail Letter Creator ()

Materials:

?

A tube of your choice.

Accents if desired.

?

Settings remain the same unless otherwise noted.

?

Part 1: Preparations

?

1. Open your tube. Duplicate (shift +D) your tube. Close the original.

?

2. Using your Eye Dropper Tool, choose a light color from your tube for your foreground and a?darker color for your background.

?

3. Image, Resize:

?

Width: No more than?300 pixels

Height: No more than 350 pixels

Resample Using: Smartsize

Lock Aspect Ratio: Checked

Resize All Layers: Checked

?

4. Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen (if necessary).

?

5. Edit, Copy.

?

Part 2: Create Your Background

?

1. Image, Canvas Size:

?

Width:?1800 pixels (or your choice for your screen size)

Height:?Height of your tube + 50 pixels?

Lock Aspect Ratio: Not Checked

Placement: Left Middle Arrow Checked

Numbers: Default except change left number to 20.

?

2. Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow:

?

Vertical Offset: 0

Horizontal Offset: 0

Opacity: 50

Blur: 12

Color: Black

Shadow On New Layer: Not Checked

?

(Do not add a drop shadow to a transparent or misted tube)

?

3. Layers, New Raster Layer.

?

4. Layers, Arrange, Send To Bottom.

?

5. Activate your Flood Fill tool with these settings:

?

Match Mode: RGB Value

Tolerance: 20

Use All Layers: Not Checked

Blend Mode: Normal

Opacity: 100

?

6. Flood fill your?bottom layer with your dark color.

?

7. Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise:

?

Uniform: Checked

Noise: 15%

Monochrome: Checked

?

8.?Selections, Select All.

?

9. Edit, Paste Into Selection (your tube).

?

10. Selections, Select None.

?

11.?Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling, Default Settings.

?

12. Effects, Distortion Effects, Ripple:

?

Horizontal: 30

Vertical: 95

Amplitude: 95

Wavelength: 20

Edge Mode: Repeat

13. Layers, Duplicate.

?

14. Image, Mirror.

?

15. Image, Flip.

?

16. Reduce the opacity of this layer to 50%.

?

17. Layers, Merge, Merge Down.

?

18. Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling, Default settings.

?

19.?Layers, New Raster Layer.

?

20. Flood fill with your light color.

?

21. Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise.

22. Lower the opacity of this layer until your background is both text-friendly and your pattern is still visible.

23. Layers, Merge, Merge Down.

?

24. Selection Tool, Custom Selection:

?

Top: 0

Left: 0

Right: 15

Bottom: Height of your canvas.

25. Layers, New Raster Layer.

?

26.?Flood fill with your dark color.

?

27. Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise.

28. Selections, Select None.

?

29. Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow:

Vertical: 0

Horizontal: 2

Opacity: 25

Blur: 15

Color: Black

Shadow On New Layer: Not Checked

30. Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling:

Tiling Method: Edge

Direction: Vertical

Width: 51

31. Arrange your tube as desired. Add accents or text if you wish.

?

Note: Add your desired drop shadow to your tube and accents.

32.?Add your watermark and necessary?artist credits.

?

33. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.

?

34. File, Export, Jpeg Optimizer, Compression Value 15 (or your preference), Click OK, Save.

Part 3: Assemble Your Stat In LC

?

1. Open Incredimail Letter Creator and assemble your file as a new stationery.?

?

2. In the "Body Tab" choose "Image" and enter?your canvas you have saved. Be sure to click "Tile".

?

3. Choose your fonts, margins, create your footer, title your stat, etc. ?

?

4. Please remember to give credit to any artist's work which you may have used in your work. If the TOU requires use of a license number, e.g., don't forget to include it.
