- Grey is her maiden name, she switched back the second she realized her husband had left her. She also goes by her maiden name instead of her first name almost exclusively feeling that the name Calliope is too fanciful for the person she's trying to be now.
- Grey was the girl in school that all the other girls either looked up to and wanted to be, or properly despised because she really was a brat.
- She has no formal training when it comes to healing, but has soaked up every bit of knowledge from her mother-in-law who practiced the old ways. When it doubt, a wound gets a poultice.
- She hasn't taken the time to form any new friendships or relationships since her husband left her, not because she missed her husband but because she's been busy with her in-laws.
- She named her shop/clinic, Violet's, in remembrance of her ex mother-in-law as well as hoping the name of a trusted healer would lend credibility to her own abilities.
