Radioreference
Ok, lets get this going! One of the best resources for Scanners is https://www.radioreference.com https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=2779 This the Main link for Cache County https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?tab=reports&ctid=2779&rpt=1 Great link for a lot of frequencies in Cache County. https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=601 This where all the fun for Scanners begins. Trunked Utah Communications Authority. If you don't have a trunking scanner, but still have 800mhz you can use this list. Don't use the Blue or Red. Those are control channels. 7202 005 (5) Cache Valley Simulcast Cache, UT 851.3375 851.6125 851.8625 852.1375c 855.7375a 856.2125a 857.9875a 859.9375 7202 014 (E) Logan Peak Cache, UT 854.9625 855.2125 856.7625c 857.2125 858.9375a 860.9875 860.2125 7202 044 (2C) Beaver Mountain Cache, UT 852.2375c 852.0375a 851.300 852.775 853.4375 Ok. So I have a Trunking Scanner. What do I do now? It is up to you. You just need to program into your scanner the Red and the Blue. These are the control channels. But you can always just program in the Black frequencies, but you won't get a display on what Talk Group you are hearing. But here is the fun part! There are a ton of system Talk Groups you also need if you want to know what agency you are listening to. And also to block out sites you don't want. ie, Weber County. This will be a whole new discussion. Hope the helps get you started. Kevin W7BOZ Group Owner
