Movement

Howdy folks;

It's looking more, and more like yahoogroups may be
going down the tubes. Folks on the 7X12MiniLathe list
are talking about emigrating to:

/g/7x12MiniLathe/

I know the list hasn't been all that active of late,
but perhaps it's time for discussing it.

Bill

pcbgcode has already moved.

Yes, the Atlas Craftsman lathe group moved a few months ago, and it has been a mostly positive experience. One issue was that groups.io was not able to get all the files and photos content off the Yahoo group, so somebody that had a full backup had to go and cherry pick the missing files.
Many of the ones that didn't come across SEEMED to be there, but the contents of the file were empty.

But, now that we've switched, it is all running much better than with Yahoo. If you read the info on Yahoo, they pretty much declare they are giving minimal (or less) maintenance and support to the groups.
