Pat,
Look at the web page for Model Mill (www.modelmill.com). Model Mill may be
able to do what you want, as it is a 3D modeling program. I am a new dealer
for Model Mill and I will be going to

Re: tiny rivet heads
Some years ago I built a microscopic mill for a production plant and I think it might work for you also.
I bought a dental air turbine. It runs at about 400 to 500 thousand RPM (no, I did not get

Re: tiny rivet heads
Interestingly, I have some of the same needs in my clockmaking work. The
beading on clock bezels is the same sort of thing, and the "beads" almost
touch. I was planning to make a special form

It finally came!
After five weeks of anticipation, I received my 4 axis bipolar
driver kit from Oatley Electronics in Australia. This is my first board
kit and I need some help. Has anyone built one of these?

I have no experience with the unit, but I had sent them 3 or 4 e-mails
asking about the specifics of the kit and never received a reply. Do you
know is the controller a chopper style unit? My guess at

Re: cnc tube notcher
Why don't you use a cone or plug w/ a center drilled hole in each end and a
tailstock? We do this kind of stuff all the time with OD grinding, and then
use a Hose clamp on the tube OD & an adjustable

RE Getting out of Estop

I found that you must have a second Parallel port in the PC
to get it to come out of estop. Changing the bits from 1 to 0 in the .ini file
did not help me either. It worked first time

I'm into model railroading and I've been trying to make HO scale parts
using automated techniques. Unlike most folks, I'm not as concerned about
power as I am about the ability to machine details.

Re: Feb 25 build
Well, I downloaded the 2.2.13 version (29Feb2000) and was able to build
it (almost) out of the box (minor flag changes only) under RH6.0.
That's the first time I was able to get EMC to build under

I have tried changing all of the defaults from 1 to 0 and still no luck.
